Mr. Jameson
I am writing to express interest in your opening for a lab assistant in your Geology Department, the
opening for which I found posted at the SLCC Job Fair.
I have been interested in working for Kleinfelder ever since I was present for a presentation by a few of
your employees, and after having researched your company, I found it to be a very professional and
honest company that treats both its employees and clients with utmost respect and fairness. I am a 3rd
year Geology student currently attending Salt Lake Community College, but with an application in to
attend the University of Utah next year to finish up my Bachelors Degree in Geology. I was originally a
graphic design major, but I found my passion in the field of Geology, specifically environmental geology,
and I feel that your company would be the best company I could possibly work for to explore and
expound on my passion.
Enclosed is my resume with my professional references available on request. I would love to meet with
a representative of your company at your convenience and availability. I can be reached any time at
208-957-3193 or by email at b34nespn@gmail.com. I will also be in contact with your office first thing

Niton XRF Analyzer

An investment in the quality of your students
The Niton XRF Analyzer is a portable soil analyzer that is used in
the field to identify the elements that are found in the soil
being tested, helping avoid the need for a lab to analyze every
sample, an expensive and time wasting way to go.
A professional grade tool that is used by many large corporations
including mining, environmental and other industries, this useful
tool will prepare your geology and surveying students for the
types of work and analysis that they will be doing while at the
same time allowing your geoscience department to boast about
having an instrument that very few places of learning are able to
obtain, even at the university level.
Instant Data is at your fingertips with our
XRF portable analyzer, with modes to detect
mining elements used to analyze ore type
rocks and soils, while our environmental
mode can be used to detect levels of
dangerous substances such as lead and
arsenic in the soils impacting our
environment, bringing the effects of the
geosciences home to the mindset of your
students, no matter what their level.

The Niton XRF Analyzer in action

The major factor that cannot be avoided is

the price of the Analyzer. At $20,000, it is not an investment to
take lightly, however, as an educational tool the cost can be
covered by most grants, and the educational and program interest
that this tool will generate for your department will more than
offset the cost of this supremely important geological instrument,
the Niton XRF Analyzer.
