Dear Ms. Breitkreuz,

If there is something Siemens is known for, it is for answers. That ubiquitous word that closes every Siemens
television commercial, answers effectively encapsulates the purpose and mission of the company: to find solutions to
societys problems, to optimize processes and diminish waste, to improve the quality of lives everywhere. It is because of this
noble mission that I wish to work for you esteemed company. I too am driven by a sense of discovery and long to be a part of
something greater than simply myself.
Specifically looking to work for Siemens Healthcare as a Biomedical Engineering Intern, I know that your
organization needs individuals who have had both academic and real world experience putting the principles of optimization
and research to work. Throughout my career as a student, I have consistently been involved in healthcare settings. As a result,
I am perfectly suited to benefit your company and would love to interview with you to prove it.
Academically, I have always stood out. Currently in the process of taking 23 credits and working to graduate in
three years, I have consistently maintained a high academic standard. It was for this reason that I was specifically invited to
apply for the Global Engineering Leadership Program (GELP). With prior healthcare experience working at a retirement
home, I jumped at the opportunity. After all, I am one who will continually seek out new opportunities to fuel my knowledge
and experience. Following an extensive vetting and interview process, I was eventually selected as one of six industrial
engineering students to take part in a ground-breaking research project. With the purpose of collecting data on patient care
transitions and gaps within the United States and France, I was and am involved in making decisions as to what routes of
research need to be followed. Studying rheumatoid arthritis in particular, a major part of my research has been establishing a
patients care journey and identifying areas where that patient may fail to receive adequate, timely care. This is all done in
order to identify possible interventions to fix that gap.
One such intervention I am paying close attention to is that of diagnostic imaging. Primarily involving MRIs and XRays, I hope to uncover more effective means with which to use these tools so as to speed the process of diagnosis. Timing is
everything with a progressive mobility issue, and the quicker a patient can be diagnosed, the less severe her symptoms will
be. As a result, I am already taking the Siemens answers mission to heart. I myself am applying engineering principles in
order to solve problems currently plaguing many in the world. I further know that you are looking for an individual with
experience with diagnostic imaging. I certainly have extensively studied this area, and am thus more than qualified to work
with this technology.
In conclusion, I feel that my experience is very relevant to what you are looking for in an applicant and future
employee. I would love to work for an organization where my ideas can help to formulate solutions to help better the world.
And that is what I admire about Siemens. Its goal is not only to make a profit, but to make a difference. Thus, please feel free
to contact me as I would love to stay in touch.
Thank You,
Robert Andr Borochok
