classroom behavior and standards.

Overall Comments
Scott has been an excellent student teacher during his student-teaching experience. His
communications with me have been very professional, all his lesson plans are sent to me prior to
being observed. His lesson plans are clear, provide all goals, objectives, and activities. Scott does a
fantastic job by creating lesson plans and activities that require him to use his creativity. During his
first observation, Scott seemed a bit nervous and quick in his communication to his classroom. Scott
acknowledged immediately after his lesson that he felt this way during his lesson, we spoke about it
and things that we could change to improve on this area. I was very impressed when observing him
during his final lesson as he is completely comfortable and his voice is clear in the classroom. Scott
was able to maintain an elementary school class motivated and focused on the lesson while
providing all students equitable participation and a safe environment. Scott has developed cues that
helps him regain the classroom attention when students were distracted. Scott has several strengths
as a teacher that he has developed throughout his experience. Scott does a fantastic job at
monitoring his classroom for understanding. He constantly roams his classes to make sure his
students are doing the activity correctly, as well, he is able to give feedback to students in a group
or individual setting. Scott also praises students when they are performing skills or activities
correctly. When Scott starts his lesson he constantly is asking questions to his students to make sure
they understand the content. He also uses his students to demonstrate skills or activities to provide
visual understanding as well. Scott has been a great student teacher. He has developed strong
teaching fundamentals through his experience in student-teaching. Scott is very proactive reflecting
on his lessons, he reviews the things he could have done differently or better and implements a
change for the following lesson. It has been a pleasure to work with Scott this semester and see him
grow and develop as a teacher. His strong work ethic, commitment to his students, and willingness
to learn will make him a great educator.
