promote the selection of one of Canadas proposed World
Heritage sites.

MUST:

1. Have a universal value to people all around the world

2. Have laws protecting the site
3. Be well managed and preserved
YOU MUST:
1. State the location of the site
2. Provide reasons why the site should be chosen and why it is
historically significant
HELPFUL TIPS:
Does the site contain natural phenomena, or areas of natural
beauty?
Does it represent major stages of the earths history? (eg.,
fossils or landforms)
Is it an outstanding example of land, or water ecosystems
of plants and animals?
Does it have important natural habitats for the
conservation of plants and animals or threatened species?
