Boys in Program

Girls in Program

In our program, everyone plays together in harmony. Not many complaints from
children since we divided the group into 2: the fun group and the competitive group during
gym time (which it was the only time we had behavior issues in the past). To my surprise
there were a few things I didnt expected. The socio-gram above has the boys in blue and
the girls in pink. Arrows are pointing to a friend or someone they play very often. There are
a couple children that like to play alone while we have children that are playing with most
children. While conducting this socio-gram, I found that Max plays with multiple boys, but
very rare he plays with girls. Lenny in the other hand is always doing activities alone. Milan
only has a Sydney as a friend. After conducting this socio-gram, I have been brainstorming
with the other site staff on how to redesign our program to have more inclusion. Although,
we are in the brainstorming stage still, we have begun by changing the routine to include a
team building game twice a week and a get to know you activity once a week.
