Women's Lacrosse Club off


to a hot start

Men
's Soccer Club kicks off the season with a win against
SDSU at Mangrum Field

Feb. 15 CSUSM vs. SDSU

Justin Aden contributed with 3 key saves
down the stretch.
Come out and support the Men's Soccer
Club at CSUSM Mangrum Field, when
they host UC Irvine March 14th, and CSU
San Bernadino Mach 21st.

Women's Volleyball Club


Women's Volleyball Club just finished tryouts this month and their new players are
prepared to make an impact. They
traveled to UC Irvine on February 7th for a
weekend tournament. CSUSM faced high
competition and finished the weekend
going 1-2, while Anna Jensen stepped up
when her team needed her. Women's

Spring semester is a competitive and busy time for the


Women's Lacrosse Club, as February marks the
beginning of their season. Women's Lacrosse opened
up the season on February 8th at UC Irvine, where they
came out victorious 13-8. Megan Guilfoyle contributed
with 5 goals, while Emma Kirver added 4 more goals
herself. Danielle Isola walked away with her first career
goal in the win. They continued their stellar play at the
UC Santa Barbara tournament February 13th to 15th.
CSUSM added wins against NAU (11-8), SJSU (16-11),
and Grand Canyon (12-7). Newbie goalie Kristin
Sanchez shined throughout the tournament with a total
of 25 saves in an undefeated weekend. To end the

next month (3/7) when they compete in


the SCCVL League Championships at
Seal Beach.

Wrestling Club
Jan. 31

21st against Concordia (13-9), but bounced right back
with an impressive performance against Stanford (20-9)
the following day. Overall, Women's Lacrosse is off to a
hot start, looking extremely promising to finish the
season off strong in the WWLL (Western Women's
Lacrosse League).

Baseball Club and their new

USM @ Fresno State University
David Mosley had the most success in the
Fresno State University Wrestling
tournament, posting two wins, while
pinning both of his opponents in the first
period. Brock Smith came out victorious in
one of his matches, as the CSUSM
Wrestling Club looks to continue their
consistent play this semester.

The upcoming Baseball Club has currently been


practicing at their new field at the 4S Ranch. Chris
Benson, the Club's President, describes the all turf
facility as a baseball heaven, where they will be
competing in tournaments for the NCBA (National Club
Baseball Association) toward the end of the semester.
Also, if anyone is interested in CSUSM Baseball Club
apparel, there will be an online store at Adcraft USA
from March1st-8th only.

Surf Club

The
Surf Club participated in their first of two
contests this semster at the 9th Street
Event at Huntington Beach on February
8th. Tim Rusch shows off his skills in this
wave and through the competition. They
look to compete in Men's short board,
Women's short board, and Co-ed
longboard at the San Onofre Event March
6th-8th.

Cycling Club

The Women's Soccer Club


Hollywood Talent Show

The
Cycling Club, under the West Coast
Collegiate Cycling Conference, has
recently been training for the local
collegiate race (The San Diego Omnium)
at the end of the month. They hope to take
an active role in fundraising at the UVA in
the near future, so stay tuned for Cycling
Club updates.

Wom
en's Soccer Club opened their season up against UC
irvine on February 21st, but unfortunately, fell 2-1. They
look to get revenge against Point Loma sometime next
month, but off the field, are excited for their upcoming
fundraiser. Women's Soccer Club, led by
Club's President Stephanie Ferro, is hosting a
Hollywood themed Talent Show on March 6th located at
the USU Ball Room. Women's Soccer Club will be
directing the talent, while clubs like Women's Volleyball,
Men's Soccer, Women's Lacrosse, Dance, Wrestling,
and Baseball will be making special appearances in the
show. Buying tickets through club members are $5, but
tickets are also sold at the door for $8. There will be a
variety of food, such as Chipotle, Flippin Pizza, Tina's
Deli, along with deserts and drinks. Anyone is welcome
to join and watch the show!
