young life

No, I would not use this book. I would not use this book because it displays tokenism
a little bit in which the characters that are illustrated in the book are similar in regards
to the main character resembling a stick figure. This book shows that males are
more troublemakers and are always getting in trouble, whereas all genders can get
in trouble from time to time.

This story is also good to use in the classroom for a history lesson because of the
fact that it teaches about freedom, but as well as diversity of the young boy.
