Research Question: Do video games actually make the people who play them more violent and
aggressive?
Working Thesis Statement: Violent video games dont cause violence or aggression.
Refined Thesis Statement: Violent video games dont cause violent actions or aggressive
behaviors in the people that play them.

This article explains some of the tests used that show how the previous arguments on
violent video games causing violence are wrong. Even though they prove this wrong in the tests
it does not exactly prove that video games dont cause violence. All kinds of media viewed by
children should be monitored by their parent. The biggest thing though is to understand what the
children are missing when viewing this media, being active and social. I chose this article
because it will help support my thesis and help me provide evidence for my side of the argument.

This article explains one the big questions involving video games, Do Video
Games influence violence? Ever since the introduction of violent video games they have
been questioned on being safe for people because of a possibility that it could influence
to do violent things. These video games have been blamed many times whenever a
violent act has occurred because the person who did this act was linked to playing one of
these games. Violent video games have also been blamed of making people more
aggressive after playing them. I chose this article because it will help provide evidence
for the side that says these games actual cause violence and aggression in the people who
play them.

This article explains the problems with previous experiments for the question, Doviolent
video games cause the people who play them more aggressive. Many of these experiments have
been used to measure the amount of aggression of someone after playing these video games.
These experiments may be wrong because of the way the people are presented them. Also, it
really all depends on the person you are testing. The tests used arent in a real world context
making them less effective at measuring aggression in the real world. I chose this article because
it will support my thesis.
