Ralloy 9982 (UNS NO6625) is an excellent general purpose material for elevated temperature use in

applications where high strength and a good oxidation resistance is needed. It has an excellent corrosion
resistance in wide range of severe corrosive environments and it has very low tendency to localized
corrosion in chloride containing environments. Ralloy 9982 fulfills ASTM B 834.

In corrosive environments the combination of chromium, molybdenum and nickel contents provides an
excellent corrosion resistance both in oxidizing and
reducing atmospheres. Due to high molybdenum
alloying the resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion is high. The niobium stabilization prevents
sensitization during welding and reduces tendency
to intergranular corrosion and cracking. The high
nickel content provides resistance against stresscorrosion cracking.
Ralloy 9982 fulfills the requirements stated in NACE
MR0175 regarding sulfide stress cracking resistant
metallic materials.
Ralloy 9982 can be used in wide concentration and
temperature ranges with inorganic or organic acids
and other chemical solutions. For more detailed
information of corrosion resistance, please contact

Ralloy 9982 has also a good resistance to oxidization
and scaling at high temperatures.
