Coronary Artery Disease

This is a disease that affects the major arteries. Usually the
cause is the buildup of plaque in the arteries going in and
out of the heart. This causes the arteries to narrow making
the blood flow limited in and out of the heart. This can also
cause a heart attack, and could even be deadly.
Treatments for this includes: blood thinners, lifestyle
changes, and in serious cases, surgery.

Aneurysm
A brain aneurysm is a bulge in the blood vessel. In most cases it does not
rupture, but when it does it quickly becomes life threatening and requires
emergency surgery. Brain aneurysms are a result of the thinning of the artery
walls. There are many risk factors that could cause an aneurysm including:
head injury, older age, smoking, drug abuse, and many others. Some lifestyle
changes could be made to prevent and aneurysm, but some risk factors cannot
be reversed. When the aneurysm ruptures there are only a few seconds of
bleeding but the blood can damage or even kill brain cells that are vital. The
testing to find an aneurysm could be a C-T scan and MRI.
