As Life Coach at the Alternative Learning Center and Connect Program in the Dubuque Community
School District, I collaborate with teachers, families, and students in guidance for bridging success from
classroom to community. Michael Kennedy comes to mind when I think of team members who truly
benefit our students in reaching their ultimate potential. He listens to ideas, boasts innovation and
integrity with his work, and continually reflects on the big picture. In my opinion, these are signs of a
good leader and attributes of an excellent principal.
Michael Kennedy thinks of the big picture and is very compassionate. My experience with him is that
the thinks about the student first and keeps the big picture of at risk students in mind. I have been
involved with social work for over fifteen years and have worked with Mike for the past two years. I
cannot think of better person he has compassion and integrity while he keeps the big picture in mind.
He is willing to take risks to dive into the intelligence of his students minds.
During the last year and a half it has been my pleasure to work with Michael Kennedy. He is a
compassionate educator with in our school. His passion for teaching World Cultures, his willingness to
collaborate with his colleagues, and his strong leadership skills makes him an excellent candidate as
principal for this school.
Michael Kennedy is the ideal candidate for this position because he is a natural leader, understanding
towards peoples differences, and true believer that everybody deserves a quality education. I highly
