Open the entire

length of the center front with snap closures and decorative buttons, this early thirties dress follows
the popular twenties slash and gather technique at the hipline. Unlike many of the twenties dresses,
however, the gathered section is quite full. A narrow stand collar finishes the neckline. The elbow
length sleeves are finished with narrow self-fabric flounces. Both the collar and flounces, as well as
the side front patch pockets, are edged with dark blue trim. A self-fabric belt is worn at the natural

B. c.1930. WHITE COTTON HOUSE DRESS WITH RED POLKA DOTS. The sleeveless, V neck
dress combines a bodice, hip yoke and skirt front with a shift style back. The V neck is bound with
a matching neckband trimmed with pink bias tape. The pink bias also binds the armholes. The skirt
is pleated onto the hip yoke with the pink bias inserted in the seam allowance. Donor: Mrs. Peg

C. c.1930. MINT GREEN COTTON HOUSE DRESS. The mint green print bodice is cut with a center
front/hip yoke section to
which the bolero style
