Rivers founded the United Apostolic Holiness Assemblies International on December 13, 2005, He shall serve as General Overseer for a Life Term, resulting in death or until he no longer has the Physical or Mental Capacity to carry out the duties of his office. Any vacancy occurring in the office of the General Overseer shall be filled in accordance with the Apostolic teaching of the New Testament and the Canons of the Church. It is provided that the Council of Elders, in the permanent absence (Death or Incapacitation of the General Overseer), shall have the power to unanimously designate a successor to fill the vacant position of the General Overseer.
