CAPSTONE PROPOSAL

By: Andrew Garcia and

Ira Mascardo

CAPSTONE PROJECT
Our capstone idea is an app that can make studying for S.T.E.M
related courses easier by having multiple choice questions that a
teacher put on an old test or students who took the previous
class. We are planning to use MoSync SDK. The SDK enables
mobile developers to build and compile apps for up to nine
different platforms at once, using C/C++ or HTML5/JavaScript.

MOSYNC

PASSION BEHIND PROJECT

We decided to do this particular project because we both plan to
major in either Software Engineering or Computer Science. We
had help from Mrs. Moon on this idea and we thought it would
be a fun way to get Global Students to compete, since we dont
have many sports, and help them in the S.T.E.M classes at the
same time.

BENEFITS GAINED FROM PROJECT

Can make studying for S.T.E.M related courses easier by
having 6-9 questions in each course(usually 6-8) per
category.
Learn and gain experience in app making
Helps give a head start to what we want to major in
(Computer Science/ Software Engineering)

10 MILESTONES
October 24, 2014 - Have Proposal finished and ready to turn
in.
October 31, 2014 - Finalize Capstone idea and determine
approach needed.
November 30, 2014 - Finish working on very basic
knowledge in app coding while taking notes regarding the
potential uses of this new knowledge to our app.
December 5, 2014 - Determine the difficulties we might have
in making the app and ask our mento about potential
problems.
