Interesting Hybrids

Polar and Grizzly bear

They are finding more polar bear and grizzly bears in the arctic. The very first spotting was when
a hunter shot a polar bear. When the dna results were in it was believed to be half polar bear and
half grizzly bear. Due to global warming the bears are not just happening in captivity anymore, it
is happening more often in the wild due to the grizzlies coming over. They show more charter
traits to polar bears than grizzly's.

CoyWolf

A coywolf is a carnivore. Coywolves are found in Toronto, Montreal, Boston, and New York.
A coywolf eats rabbits, deer and moose. Coywolves are very adaptable mammals.
Coywolves are a new hybrid species that emerged in Algonquin Park around 100 years ago.
Coywolves have a skull with wolf like teeth.
Coywolf Weight and Size:
30-55 pounds, average 32-40 pounds
4-5 feet long from nose to tail tip

Savannah Cat

A hybrid of a domestic feline and a medium-size African wild cat, the Savannah is a challenging
and rewarding companion.
The Savannah has a long body with long legs, the Savannah is the same size as a medium
sized dog
The Savannah is a spotted cat with bold, solid, dark-brown to black spots that can be round,
oval or elongated. A series of parallel stripes fan out slightly over the back, and the spotting
pattern follows the line of the stripes from the shoulders and continues the length of the body.
Smaller spots cover the face, legs and feet.
A Savannah can be black, brown spotted tabby, black silver spotted tabby or black smoke.
Black Savannahs are solid black but may have faint ghost spots that can be seen beneath the
black color.

The percentage of wild serval genes in generations:


F1- has no less than 50 % of blood serval and one of the parents (the father ) was Serval;
F2- not less than 25 % of blood serval , was one of the progenitors of Serval;
F3- no less than 12.5 % of the blood Serval;
F4- not less than 6.25 % Serval blood;
F5- not less than 3.12% Serval blood;
Etc.

Dimensions:
The largest and cats valuable are the first three generations (F1, F2, F3).
F1 Savannah cat breed is the largest cat. It can weigh up to 8-13 kg, and its growth can reach
shoulder 42-55 cm

F2 Savannah cat breed weighs about 6-10 kg and 35-45 cm height


F3 Savannah cat breed weighs about 8.4 kg and height up to 40 cm
F4, F5, SBT size of a normal large domestic cat breeds.

Savannah cat breeds are fully grown and mature within 3 years. Males tend to be slightly larger
than females . As males to be infertile generation F5 - sterile. Very seldom fertile males
generation F4. Prior to F5 generation males are highly valued because of their impressive size
and beauty,
they contain as house cats . After the fourth generation cats can already participate in exhibitions,
show themselves and compared with other domestic cats and breeds.

Bangle

The original Bengal cats are a hybrid of the Asian Leopard Cat and domestic cats. They were
developed by various people, most notably Jean Sugden Mill, in the 1970s and 80s with the aim
of harnessing the beauty of the wild cat, yet maintaining the temperament of the domestic cat.
Through careful breeding, this aim has definitely been achieved!

Mule

mules cannot reproduce naturally because of its irregular chromosomes count . A mule have been
occurring since the 1500s. They are very important animals and do anything a horse ca do. Their
physical and behaviours depends on the breed of the horse or donkey. Since the character traits
of a donkey and horse are very powerful, the mule becomes the ultimate animal breed to have.
People who deal with horses prefer mules over horses because their fur is more hard which are
more protected from insects and diseases and are much tougher than horses. Always sterile.

Hinny

Hinnys are less common then mules and are also sterile. They are similar to mules in ways they
are more intelligent than horses and more cooperative than donkeys. Both mule and hinnys are
less expensive to feed and maintain. The hybrids get it from their donkey heritage. Hinnys are
smaller than mules.

Ligers and Tiglons


ligers are the world's biggest cat , they are larger than their parents. They have the strength of a
lion and speed of a tiger. An average male liger is almost 12 ft tall and weighs about half
a ton. How ligers were created was in the Thirties in south Africa , two animals were put
in a cage and instead of fighting they reproduced. Ligers look both like their parents, but
bigger! As hybrids, ligers have low fertility rates but some females may of creating off
spring with full lions or tigers. liger male lion and female tiger

Tiglons are when the off spring of a male tiger and female lion. They are very diffrent than
ligers. Tiglons are smaller than lions and tigers. Tigons are harder to breed than ligers,
there are less tiglons in the world. They weight 3x less than a liger even though their
exposed to dwarfism.

between coyotes, wolves, dingoes, jackals and domestic dogs.
These hybrids occur when a dog and a coyote, wolf, dingoes, or jackals mate with a dog. They
often appear in the wild between were domestic and feral dogs live and wild native canid. The
major difference is the chromosome number , it went from 39 to 78. Having a canid hybrid
house-held is not allowed in certain areas.
