Quick

and Easy Fun Wallet

Materials:
Fabric:




- Outside, and dollar compartment - 8x14 piece of fabric


- Credit card Holders 17 x 14 piece of fabric
- Inside Pocket 6 x 4 piece of fabric

Notions:

- thread, scissors, pins, manila folder, & iron (with steam)

Instructions:

Step 1:

- Iron the 6x4 piece of fabric in half


(wrong sides together, matching edges on the 4 edge side)

- Mark the 17 x 4 piece of fabric on the wrong side as indicated.
- You will use these lines as a guide to iron.

Step 4:

Make sure to draw your lines straight and exact.

- Start at the 1 side and fold


the edge to the 1 line
(wrong sides together)
- Make sure lines are even, Press.



STEP 4
- Flip the fabric over, and press
on the next line (right sides together)
- Continue to flip and press until
you have pressed all the lines.







STEP 3

You should end up with an accordion like this.

Step 5:

(If you dont, press flat and try again)

- Pin the pocket to the inside of


the accordion material with the
pocket on the left

(raw edges need to be even, and the


accordion on the right)

7-A: Press the seam open, Flat

STEP 7-B
7-B: Then, fold the
wrong sides
together and press
a crisp seam.



Step 6:

- Lay your 8x14 piece of fabric


face up on the table.
- Lay the prepared (accordion)
piece of fabric face down over
the 8x14 piece of fabric,

(Lining up the long edge of the

accordion piece with short edge of


the 8x14 piece.)

- Pin and sew, with a seam


allowance.

STEP 6

STEP 7-A

- Turn over and fold up fabric


(right sides together)
- Press, making sure to leave a bit
more than of the bottom of
the fabric showing.

- Then fold wrong sides together,
and press a crisp seam.

- Turn right side out, making


sure to push out corners, and
then press flat.

Step 10:

- Turn over and mark on wrong


side a line going across.

- From the manila folder, you will
need to cut 2 pieces that
measure approx.. 6 x 3
(Size will depend on your sewing,
you can trim or enlarge to fit the
inside of the wallet)

A- Cut off bottom corners at an


angle
STEP 13 - A

Step 11:


- Turn right sides together, lining
up the bottom with the line you
drew.
- Pin and sew seam from the
marked line, making sure to
catch all material.



B - Insert the manila pieces into
the opening
- Push down until they are all the
way inside and to the bottom.

STEP 13 - B


Be careful of pleats on the underside.
Make sure they are flat when you sew.

STEP 11



Step 12:


- Turn over and trim raw edges.
Sew on both sides as indicated.

Step 14:

- Fold the raw edges of the


opening in, about and

topstitch closed, close to the


edge.

Step 15:

- Heres the MAGIC part!


- Push the lining fabric into the
wallet,
- Make sure to position it
between the 2 pieces of manila
folder pieces
- Carefully match up the edges of
the wallet and fold and crease
the middle.


Thats it! Youre Done!
