the multiplier in equivalent fractions
(1-3), use a variety of strategies to
compare fractions (1-4), convert
between

and
mixed

Next week we will dig into the
Variables science kit. Our focus is on
controlling experiments with the use
of 1 variable per experiment. Our first
experiment is called Swingers. We
will investigate 3 different variables:
swinger length, release position, and
swinger weight. Please ask your
student what this means!

WRITING
On Monday students will use their
Writers Notebooks to complete
the Writers Workshop Quiz. We
will also begin our first unit of
study: Personal Narrative. This is
our first and last fiction unit of the
year. We will begin our study by
analyzing mentor texts and
practicing different strategies to
brainstorm ideas.

Doesnt Exist. The Flocab packet

Also, we will discuss good habits of effective readers.
During the school day, students will be given the time to
independently
read
