Part II: Reflection

CANDIDATE REFLECTIONS:
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology facilitation and
leadership from completing this field experience?
During this course I mentored a peer teacher concerning technology use in class and
conducted a technology workshop during a professional learning meeting. I learned how to
teach the teacher through needs assessment and open dialogue. During this process I
learned what worked for me as well as how to effectively meet the needs of my peer teacher.

2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you
be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs, enthusiasm) required of a technology
facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected in Part I. Use the
language of the PSC standards in your answer and reflect on all 3knowledge, skills, and
dispositions.)
This learning gave me the tools to be an effective instructional coach. I feel comfortable with
implementing and assessing technology tools and lessons. As a technology leader and
facilitator my coworkers and supervisors are satisfied with my ability to do an effective job.

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or
student learning at your school. How can the impact be assessed?
The one-hour technology workshop I presented had a positive and practical impact on
school improvement, faculty development and student learning. Teachers learned new
methods to offer instruction and assess learning. The impact of this workshop can be
assessed through student learning and ease of use by teachers.
