A little about me...

I graduated from Penn State in 2000 with a BS in
Elementary Education.
I taught in Spring Grove, Connecticut and Maryland
before taking time off to raise my babies.
I subbed in Southeastern School District for about 5
years.
This will be my fourth year teaching full time here at St
Patricks Catholic School.

Classroom Economy

At home...
I have been married to my husband, Jason for
almost 15 years.
We have four children: Ethan is 11 in fifth grade.
Elliot is 10 in fourth grade. Evie is 8 in third grade.
Faith is 4 and is in Pre-K here.
I enjoy knitting and reading, although I havent
had much time to do reading other than for
planning my units each summer.

Homework

Our Class Website

Students will be asked to write their

homework assignments in their agendas
each day.

www.stpatrickyork.net

Students will receive a salary for a class job.

We will be using an online banking system. All class money
will be electronic.
Students can use class money to buy privileges.
We will tie in Class DoJo. Points will translate into
additional class money deposited or withdrawn from the
online account.

Homework will be posted online on our class

website along with spelling words and other
important information.

Classwork
Students will be asked to complete classwork
in a reasonable amount of time.
If not completed, students will be expected
to take work home or stay in at recess to
finish.

Detention Slips
Students will receive a yellow slip for each
assignment not completed on time.
3 yellow slips will result in a blue slip, or a
detention after school.
A yellow or blue slip can also be issued for behavior
depending on severity.
3 late slips can result in a morning detention
issued by Mrs. Smith.

AR

Letter Grades

What can you do?

Students will be expected to complete AR

tests on independent reading books. The
general goal is 3 points per week.

Not strictly a percentage. Diocese

percentage system is high.

Please check class website, student agendas

and take home folders.

Explanation can be found under student

forms on the stpatrickyork.net website.

Provide email or phone.

Each book is worth points. Student goals

will be based on points, not number of
books.

Rubrics used for most projects.

If students arent reading, it will be treated

as a missed assignment.

Students work independently.
