NarendraModi,hoursbeforethePMaddressesarallyinMuzaffarpur.
Thoughits100institutes,preadacrossthecountry,celebratetheinstitution'sfoundationdaywithinthe
respecivestates,thecentralbody,havingitsheadquartersinDelhi,hadnevermovedoutofhecapital
forthecelebrationnits86yearhistory.
ThedecisiontomovethemainfunctionofICAR's87thfoundationdaytopollboundBiharislearntto
havebeentakenbythePMwhoisexpectedtoannouncemanykeyprojectsforthestate,including
settingupofnewagriculturecollegesandotherresearchinstitutions.
ThePMisgoingtoaddress2,500agriculturescientistsattheICARfoundationdayonJuly25in
Patna,saidagricultureministerRadhaMohanSingh,addingthathewillalsokickstartBJP'scampaign
withamegarallyinMuzaffarpurthesamedaySinghsaidthePMwasalsoexpectedtoannouncesome
bigprojectsforthestate.
ICARisanautonomousorganizationundertheagricultureministry.FormerlyknownasImperial
CounciofAgriculturalResearch,iwasestablishedin1929.
