wind up and has been a great success with
many members participating.
Another Members Exhibition is planned for late
September.
The opening of Abi Thompsons exhibition,
Imagine will be an opportunity for all Creators
and Umberella members to get together. Abis
show will open at 6pm however we also have a
Creators meeting at 4:30 with all welcome.

Workshop Program
A series of 6 workshops are planned over the next few months
including painting, printing, felting and cyanotype printing. Full
details of the programs can be found on our website.

Imagine
Abi Thompson Exhibition at
Creators Artspace.
31 July to 14 August 10am to 4pm
Opening Night, Friday 31 July from 6pm
A collection of watercolour, textile and
lamp landscapes.

Splash and Dribble

Painting Workshop.
25 July 1pm to 5pm
Splash and Dribble painting workshop
facilitated by Olga Juskiw and Lynette
Callaghan is of an exploratory nature and
can assist you to embrace creativity.
Experiment with ink, charcoal, oil pastels
and acrylic paint for washes, splashes and
dribbles resulting in a build-up of
transparent layers of mark making. The
aim is to keep the picture open-ended and
unfinished, as if the story is continuing.

UmberElla CoOp update

The UmberElla Co Operative has welcomed Chris Dormer as
a new member. The group will continue for the next 6
months and is an invaluable asset to Creators Artspace. The
studio is now fully utilized and it is wonderful to have
working artists using the space on a regular basis. Visitors
benefit in the opportunity to watch work being produced
and our members appreciate the sharing of techniques and
tips.

Winter frosts have been frequent this year and we are

really appreciating our new heating. Both the Gallery and
studio are so warm and comfortable. A pleasure to be
here.
The second half of the year will be busy with gallery
bookings through to the end of the year. Our workshop
program has been launched and we hope to see many
enthusiastic participants sign up.
Membership renewals are now due and can be paid

The Printing Press is still available on an ad hoc basis for
$5 per hour. Just call first to make sure it is available and
that your CAPS membership is up to date.
