ROCKVILLE, Md., July 16, 2015The Montgomery County Councils Ad Hoc


Committee on Liquor Control at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, will hold a
public hearing on resolutions to support reforms of the Countys Department of
Liquor Control (DLC). The committee has held seven worksessions in its efforts
to improve operations of DLC and expand choices for consumers and business

owners regarding the Countys liquor stores, privately owned beer and wine
stores and restaurants.
The Ad Hoc Committee is chaired by Hans Riemer and includes Council
President George Leventhal, chair of the Councils Health and Human Services
Committee, and Marc Elrich, chair of the Councils Public Safety Committee.
The public hearing will be held in the Third Floor Hearing Room of the Council
Office Building at 100 Maryland Ave. in Rockville and will be televised live by
County Cable Montgomery (CCMCable Channel 6 on Comcast and RCN,
Channel 30 on Verizon). The broadcast also will be streamed at:
