INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND
The plan should guide the LEAs use of education technology for the next three
years.

The districts technology objective is to increase student and staff productivity.

The relevant research that supports the plans outcome can be stated All
technology expansion is enhances teaching and learning. The technology is
used for increase the efficiency and quality of teachers, students, and staff
members work in better way
Describe the connection between the research and the plans goals.
The connection between the research and plans goal is to embrace the future
and provide engaging learning experiences and resources in a safe and nurturing
environment.
Describe information gathered from site visits, including best practices.
The school technology planning committee members visit other public schools to
gather more applicable technologic tools for staff members. For example, next
year, with the help of Dove schools district central office and superintendent ,
some technologic tools will be purchased for a plot teacher and after positive
feedbacks the rest of teachers who want to use the equipment will get a
workshop to have it.
Also after staff meeting school IT manager gather information about new
technology devices to inform teacher once a month.
CURRICULUM COMPONENT CRITERIA.
The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using
telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.

Describe teachers' current access to instructional technology and current use of


digital tools.
Question & Answer 1: What technology is currently available to all teachers?
*No All teachers have a desktop computer in classrooms
*If the teacher doesnt have a classroom gets a laptop

*All classes have a projector


*All core teachers have a mimio pads
*Especially for science experiments teachers have document cameras
*To communicate with parents, secretary , and administrators better each staff
members get a iPhone
*To duplicate test materials there are two copy machines for staff members.
Question & Answer 2: How does technology assist teachers and principals with
their administrative tasks, attendance and grading?
First with clock-in clock-out it is easy to get teachers attendance from
administrators aspects. From the teachers aspect every teacher has a database
in the desktop so the attendance, grading part getting easier. Also with using the
test center or study island grading is more efficient.
The lesson plan is very easy with using planbook which all teachers are
registered by school administrators so they have access to check teachers
lesson plans whenever they want.

replacement policy that ensures equitable technology access for all students.
Question & Answer 1: How is technology being used by students in the library
media center and labs?
All students can take AR tests from library media center and labs.
Also each student has one class period to go computer lab for each core to study
on study island.
If student is in enrichment class the usage of computer lab will be increased also
if the student is GT s/he will get extra fun work from laptop that assigned to class.

Question & Answer 2: Is technology currently available to all students?

Yes all students have the same right to use the technology currently available.

the LEA's curricular goals that are supported by other plans. Describe how the
LEA's budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and whether future funding
proposals or partnerships may be needed for successful implementation.
Question & Answer 1: How will technology be used to create more powerful
learning experiences to improve student academic achievement?
As we are in 21st century all Discovery school of Tulsa students should catch up
the todays knowledge with using technology to get more powerful learning

experiences to go college right after high school. But the important part is when
the use of technology is regularly and in case the curricular goals are supported
by technology. It is true that when students make a synthesize from information
they have find out from online and work individually or as team work, bring them
the success.

Question & Answer 2: Are targets for improvement in student achievement being
met?
Since we use technology during and after classes by using specific programs
such as study island, USA test prep, or accelerated reader etc. we can say we
meet our goal for improvement in student achievement.
By the technology it is easy to engage students in the learning process even
outside of the school.

Internet Safety and the appropriate and ethical use of technology in the
classroom.
Question & Answer 1: What materials will be used to instruct students about
Internet safety, including how to use technologies to protect themselves and their
privacy online?
Internet safety is one of the very important issues for students. That is why the
DST provides online safety trainings twice a year by inviting a police officer at the
beginning and middle of the year. Also the desktop in the classroom and
computer lab computers will have a internet filter to prevent non educational
website usage. Also the teacher will control students computers with the using
the main computer.
Question & Answer 2: How and when will teachers and students learn about the
implications of legal/illegal file sharing?
Every year before school start, all teachers especially newly hired teachers get a
presentation about the implication of legal/ illegal file sharing during the
professional development days. All students are warned about it during the year.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT
The Plan must have a professional development strategy to ensure that staff
understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

Summary of the teachers' and administrators' current technology proficiency and


integration skills and needs for professional development.

Question & Answer 1: Are administrators able to support teachers with the
integration of technology into daily curriculum?
Actually Discovery School of Tulsa administrators encourage staff members to
use the technology into daily curriculum. Whenever you ask for a technology that
you want to use for your class the administrator will give you full support and they
will do everything to get it or will arrange workshops.
Question & Answer 2: What do teachers and administrators consider as their
needs for professional development?
In my school district if we offer any choice of programming or technology in the
PD day which is generally at the beginning of school years the school
administrator give us a chance to attend as conference style sessions. Also we
are offered to get extra help after PD session to learn more if we want.
Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for providing
professional development opportunities based on your LEA needs assessment
data and the Curriculum Component of the plan.
Question & Answer 1: What professional learning will be available so teachers
and administrators can make informed decisions using data to meet individual
student academic needs?
DST have data analysts to collect and analyze the data for checking students
growth and achievement. There is arranged ,planned meetings with both
administrators and department heads to get feedback and review datas.
Question & Answer 2: What professional learning will be available so teachers
and administrators can effectively use technology to assist with student
assessment?
Teachers and administrators will be trained during professional
development hours for the newly implemented software and for the new
tools that purchased to enhance student learning.

INFRASTRUCTURE, HARDWARE, TECHNICAL SUPPORT, SOFTWARE, AND


ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPONENT CRITERIA
The Plan must include an assessment of the telecommunication services,
hardware, software, asset management, and other services that will be needed to
improve education services.

Describe the existing hardware, Internet access, electronic learning resources,


technical support, and asset management already in the LEA that will be used to
support the Curriculum and Professional Development Components of the plan.
Question & Answer 1: What technology access do parents have at home? What
technologies do parents prefer for home/school communication?
Generally, all parents have access to internet at home. So the communication
between staff members and parents via email. But even it is minimum number of
parents dont have access every event, report card, tutoring letters are sent via
mail to students address. But the website is renewed regularly by IT manager.
Question & Answer 2: What technologies are available to facilitate home/school

communication such as email, web pages, and voice mail?


As stated earlier, DST has a very active website that all parents should check it
regularly. But in some cases the secretary leave voice mail. All parents are
warned about checking and update address, email, and phone numbers
regularly.
Describe the technology hardware, electronic learning resources, networking and
telecommunications infrastructure, physical plant modifications, technical
support, and asset management needed by the LEA's teachers, students, and
administrators to support the activities in the Curriculum and Professional
Development components of the plan.
Question & Answer 1:What emerging technologies could be used to implement
the plans goal?
At this point, our plan is to connect all the servers in each school
under one umbrella so that teachers can access to all the services
wherever they are. That way we will be able to control all the servers of all
the schools as if they are in one school but in different classrooms. In
short, we are trying to make more efficient use of Windows Active
Directory.
Question & Answer 2: Where will the technology be placed to effectively support
the
Curriculum and Professional development components?
Technology will be placed within the DST. Some of the items that
we thinking that will support the curriculum and professional development
components are replacing the laptops of all teachers with new ones,
increasing the number of the printers, replacing the projectors that are

needed to be replaced.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION COMPONENT


The plan must include an evaluation process that enables the school to monitor
progress toward the specific goals and make mid-course corrections in response
to new developments and opportunities as they arise.

Describe the process for evaluating the plan's overall progress and impact on
teaching and learning.
Question & Answer 1: How will the LEA know whether implementation of this plan
has made a positive impact on classroom, library, and school and LEA
management?
To have an idea whether the implementation of plan has made a positive impact
on classroom is the formal observation by administrators and checking data
about students benchmark tests and state results.
Question & Answer 2: Describe the process to coordinate the individual
evaluation components.
The process to coordinate the individual evaluation component start with tracking
purchased software or technological tools by administrators. After administrators
the testing coordinator and dean of academic will observe the satisfaction of tool
by getting feedback from department heads.

Describe the schedule for evaluating the effect of plan implementation, including
a description of the process and frequency of communicating evaluation results
to tech plan stakeholders.
Question & Answer 1: How often will data be collected and summarized? Who is

responsible?
The dean of academic and testing coordinator work together to collect data in
DST. Students take benchmark tests every two month till state test and the result
are examined with core head departments that they summarize data with
administrator and do want students need to do.
Question & Answer 2: How often will the status of plan implementation be reported
to the LEA superintendent? To the local governing board? To other stakeholders?
The plan review for every three years but each year plan can be change

according to needs.
