Position:
This is a full-time position for a career-oriented mature and practical person (28-35 years age) with
B.Sc./M.Sc. in (Agronomy, Horticulture or Floriculture), and relevant experience (2-3 years) of
modern techniques of production of crops, vegetables, flowers and/or plants including soil
condition; irrigation systems; use of seeds, fertilizer and pesticides; sowing, cultivation, harvesting

and storage; handling, maintenance and repair of farm building, machinery and equipment; and
administration, training & supervision of staff and labour.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Farm Production Supervisor
KEY-ROLES

Plan, manage and execute cultivation of high-margin and highyield crops, vegetables, flowers and/or plants;

Prepare cultivation calendars, budgets, execution plans and

reports;

Protect and maintain building, machinery and equipment;

Manage, supervise and train staff and labour.

KEY-RESPONSIBILITIES

In collaboration with the head office team, make contributions to the development and
finalization of the annual business plan;

In collaboration with the head office team, develop an annual farm plan with budget, cash
flows, crop plan and execution roadmap, to implement the business plan;

In co-ordination with the head office team, implement the annual business plan and the farm
plan;

Arrange regular diagnostic tests for soil and water quality; analyze their findings in
consultation with experts; devise and carry out appropriate remedies;

Ensure that at all times adequate water supply and channels (including bores, motors and
pumps) are fully functional to meet the irrigation needs of the crops, vegetables, flowers
and/or plants;

Preparation of cultivation calendars, budgets, execution plans and checklists after scientific
investigations and understanding of land and weather conditions and sowing/harvesting
seasons for different varieties of crops, vegetables, flowers and/or plants;

Timely sowing of crops, vegetables, flowers and/or plants including arrangement of inputs
such as labour, seeds, fertilizer, sowing, watering, pesticides and weedicides;

Vigilantly looking after healthy growth of crops, vegetables, flowers and/or plants including
supply of water and nutrients, fertilizer application, pest control, weed control, disease
management, proactive response to adverse weather conditions;

Efficiently execute and coordinate harvesting, grading, sorting and storing of the agricultural
produce;

Effective coordination with buyers for transportation and delivery of the agricultural produce;

Ensure that at all times all buildings, equipment, assets of the farm are safe, secure and in
good condition;

Organize work plans for labour and staff, define and assign tasks, prepare schedules, and
supervise execution of the day-to-day activities, to ensure daily maximum utilization of
resources to accomplish production goals;

Training, coaching and guidance of staff and labour to ensure that they work as a team to
achieve production targets and meet guidelines, standards, and SOPs of the farm;

Maintain up-to-date files and registers, to record information, activities, expense, goods,
activities, supplies, produce, equipment, and assets;

Regularly communicate with other team members of the farm and head office to exchange
information and make informed timely decisions about farm activities;

Overall onsite execution, coordination and supervision of all farm activities;

Desired Qualifications:

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Agronomy, Horticulture or Floriculture

(with CGPA 3.0 or above) from an HEC recognized
university.

Desired Experience:

2-5 year relevant experience with a reputable organization

which demonstrates strengths relevant to the position.
