WELCOME!
Ms. Auberts Room 145 | 2015 - 2016 School Year | Specific Learning Disability

Contact:
Please do not hesitate to
contact me with any questions
or concerns regarding your
student.
The best way to contact me is
through email at
laubert@lacrossesd.org. I can
be reached by phone at
608-789-5106. The best time
to reach me by phone is
before or after school. I will do
my best to get back to you as
soon as possible.
I also welcome anyone
wanting to stop by before or
after school to talk. I look
forward to a fantastic year with
you and your child. Thanks for
all that you do!

Homework:
Occasionally I will send
homework, depending on how
much students get in the
classroom. What is most
important that we are reading
and working on our math facts
every night. I do my homework,
and I expect them to do theirs.
Just like basketball, we only get
better with practice.

About Me
My name is Leah Aubert and this is my fourth year as the
Learning Disabilities teacher at Southern Blus. I currently have
students in grade 1 5 on my caseload.#
I grew up on the northside of La Crosse and went to UW-Green
Bay for my degree. Shortly after getting my teaching license, I
moved to Phoenix, Arizona to teach. In Phoenix I taught 8th
grade Language Arts and Reading. I really enjoyed my time there,
but missed seeing my family. They are spread from the midwest
to the east coast. I decided to move back to Wisconsin to be
much closer to all of them.#

Expectations:
In our classroom we work hard
and do fun activities based on
goals. We work on those goals to
help each other be successful in
the classroom. The students and
I work together to create a safe
and positive classroom where we:
work hard and try our best
respect everyone in the

classroom
work together and help each

other learn
take responsibility for our own

actions
celebrate with each other when

we learn and have pride in our

growth
have fun

I currently live in La Crosse

with my two dogs, Finnegan
and Gypsy. I enjoy spending
time with my family and
friends, hiking, reading, and
cheering on the Badgers and
Packers. I also love spending
time and skyping with my
nephew Emmett. I am very
happy to be back in the La
Crosse School District as a
teacher and feel blessed to be working and collaborating with
such a wonderful sta at Southern Blus Elementary.#
My goal as a teacher is to ensure that each and EVERY student is
challenged to his or her fullest potential. The skills we work on
support students learning and academics inside the classroom.
These skills are written out as goals in the students IEP.#
