1971: wild horses and burros were found on 2 million acres of BLM land in Arizona.
Today: wild horses and burros exist on just 1.4million acres.
Net loss: 600,000 acres.

o A maximum of 240 wild horses and 1,436 burros are allowed to graze on 1.4 million acres
