Poe can be used for any subject. It is used for writing. For me, on a personal
note I would use it for French class. It is a great way to sit down and focus on what
you are writing. It is great as well because it is free, so all my students with a
smartphone or ipad. It is easy to use and it is free so it would be essential for
students who have a lot of essays or writing assignments.

Shakespeare Pro includes complete works of Shakespeare (41 plays, 154 sonnets and 6
poems, including doubtful works) and search the concordance to find the exact word or phrase youre
looking for (with relaxed searching to find words close to your search term).
Shakespeare Pro is a good app for English teachers to use and recommend for their students.
In Canada and I am assuming in the U.S, Shakespeare is a common unit throughout secondary school.
This is a good app for reading as well. Instead of having students have to bring textbooks back and
forth they can have the text in their phone or computer This app will help students and teachers work
on their Shakespeare projects or study for tests. It is limited to only Apple products however it would
not be anything but a tool to aid students with their Shakespeare work and not essential to having
success during that unit.

This app would be great for any language teacher or any student who wants a
good way to learn a new language. For me this would be my first app I recommend
to students. It is a fun and educational way to learn a new language and depending
on what level you are teaching it could be something you incorporate into your
everyday class or homework as progress is kept track of in the app. You can link to
your email as well and receive updates and schedule an everyday alarm so that you
are reminded to put in your time on Duolingo.

learning languages. I think these type of apps are fantastic for learning new
languages or even quickly looking up situations or words. Its free to install however
there are in app purchases therefore it will cost but if the student can afford it, it
would be highly recommended.

Another language app that can be a great tool for this section of the curriculum
to help these students who do not speak or communicate in English as their primary
language. Anything that can be personal between them and the computer is perfect
for building comprehension in the language.

This is another app that is good for me as a French teacher. Anything to help
my students learn and really dive into the language will be amazing for me. This
app again, a language app for educational purposes is fantastic but again there are
in-app purchases limiting who can use this app.

are amazing for learning language especially when time is a factor. To have a basic
knowledge in some of the main different languages can be key in reaching some
students and gaining their respect. Every one of these apps have different

need help with learning languages and want to learn in different ways these apps are amazing but
they can be amazing for breaking through to a student who is willing to put in the personal time to
catch up or accelerate in class.
