POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Security Officer
DEPARTMENT: Security
BASIC FUNCTION
Preserve order and ensure the safety and security of patrons guests and staff as
well as the property of the hotel.
DUTIES/ACTIVITIES:
1. Patrol inside the hotel checking the lobby, corridors, restrooms and
continually maintaining a Security, safety and Fire Prevention containment
watch through out the hotel.
2. Circulate amongst patrons and guests ensuring compliance with all rules
pertaining to age, behavior, sobriety, noise and other rules covered under
state laws and hotel policies.
3. Keep management informed of all infraction, investigate, and interview when
necessary guests, patrons and staff regarding disturbance, complaints
accidents, security breaches, and incidents of fire.
4. As a last resort, call police if unable to control disturbance or evict unruly
persons.

5. Perform First Aid and obtain assistance for all accident victims.
6. Perform as a member of the in house Emergency Response Team.
7. During the day shift man the Security Office and ensure all movements are
monitored and logged.
8. Daily collect all Mails and frank same before delivering to the Post Office
before 11:00 hrs Weekdays.
9. Ensure all Staff complies with company policy and procedures.
10.Issue and record all name tags, I.D badges and lockers in the prescribed
fashion.
11.Conduct regular maintenance checks on all fire fighting equipment and fire
exit doors.
12.Perform other duties when required as requested by hotel mangement
