God is Spirit not Flesh
Jesus was a Spiritual Son in Heaven with God Before he Came to Earth:
God Gave his Son, God Sent his Son, in a Physical Body.
Jesus, not God, came down from Heaven:
Jesus Christ has Come in the Flesh:
Jesus Shared in the Flesh and Blood
While Jesus was In the Flesh
The Blood Of Christ
The Blood of God
Part 9
Part 10
Part 0 Definitions:
Definition of the term flesh from the Greek term sarx from Strongs, Louw Nida, and Eastons.
Strongs.
G4561. sarx, sarx; prob. from the base of 4563;
flesh (as stripped of the skin), i.e. (strictly) the meat of an animal (as food),
or (by extens.) the body (as opposed to the soul [or spirit],
or as the symbol of what is external,
or as the means of kindred),
or (by impl.) human nature (with its frailties [phys. or mor.] and passions),
or (spec.) a human being (as such):carnal (-ly, + -ly minded), flesh ([-ly]).
Flesh = Sarx: flesh (the soft substance of the living body, which covers the bones and is permeated with blood) of
both man and beasts
2) the body
a) the body of a man
b) used of natural or physical origin, generation or relationship
1) born of natural generation
c) the sensuous nature of man, "the animal nature"
1) without any suggestion of depravity
2) the animal nature with cravings which incite to sin
3) the physical nature of man as subject to suffering
3) a living creature (because possessed of a body of flesh) whether man or beast
4) the flesh, denotes mere human nature, the earthly nature of man apart from divine influence, and therefore
prone to sin and opposed to God
Louw Nida
8.4 b, f: a living bodybody, physical body.
3
who appeared in a physical body 1 Tm 3:16. Though the reference of in 1 Tm 3:16 is to
the physical body, it may be necessary in some instances to translate this as a human being or a person, that is to say,
Christ appeared as a human being or Christ became a person. Otherwise, the reader might assume that Christ took on
the body of someone else or merely indwelt some miraculous human form rather than actually became a human being
Eastons Bible Dictionary
Flesh in the Old Testament denotes
(1) a particular part of the body of man and animals (Gen. 2:21; 41:2; Ps. 102:5, marg.);
(2) the whole body (Ps. 16:9);
(3) all living things having flesh, and particularly humanity as a whole (Gen. 6:12, 13);
(4) mutability and weakness (2 Chr. 32:8; comp. Isa. 31:3; Ps. 78:39). As suggesting the idea of softness it is used in the
expression heart of flesh (Ezek. 11:19). The expression my flesh and bone (Judg. 9:2; Isa. 58:7) denotes
relationship.
In the New Testament, besides these it is also used to denote the sinful element of human nature as opposed to the
Spirit (Rom. 6:19; Matt. 16:17). Being in the flesh means being unrenewed (Rom. 7:5; 8:8, 9), and to live
according to the flesh is to live and act sinfully (Rom. 8:4, 5, 7, 12).
Summary:
There are two distinct areas of definition expressed by Strongs, Louw Nida and Eastons , the first is the physical and
the second is regarding temptation and sinful desires.
Strongs : prone to sin and opposed to God
Louw Nida: Christ became a person (there was a point he was not a person which means the Trinity is not eternal)
Eastons: opposed to the Spirit
Any of these definitions cannot be, and are not, definitions of God.
Section 18 Shows that God cannot be tempted: Based on that it is not biblical that God would be in a human fleshly
body that is tempted or has desire.
While he was on the earth Jesus, in John 4:24, says that God is Spirit. Then Jesus says that a spirit does not have flesh
and blood. Jesus has stated that God, a spirit, does not have flesh and blood. For Jesus to be God and to make these
statements does not make sense as it would make him deceitful and a liar.
Numbers 23:18-19 Then he uttered his oracle: "Arise, Balak, and listen; hear me, son of Zippor.
19
God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and
then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
The book of Numbers was written somewhere between 1450-1410BC and at that point God is not a man.
Hosea 11:9 I will not carry out my fierce anger, nor will I turn and devastate Ephraim. For I am God, and not
man the Holy One among you. I will not come in wrath.
The book of Hosea was written somewhere between 755-725BC and at that point God was still not a man
Did this point need to be re-written every year between these two books for it to always be true, or was it always true
between these to times?
Did this point need to be re-written at all points in history before and after these two times for it to always be true?
The statement God is not a man was always true before Numbers and always true after Hosea.
For I am God and not a man! God makes a clear statement regarding who he is, the same statement he made in the
book of Numbers. We have to ask, how can this be true and Jesus be God? There are a few options
1/ This statement only applied in the book of Hosea.
2/ This statement only applied in the OT
3/ God was not a man at that point, but later became a man. (If this is the case then we would have an ever changing set
of commands and rules from God, the ten commandments would need re-writing regularly by prophets.)
4/ For some reason Hosea was written incorrectly, or translated incorrectly.
5/ Although it says "God is not a man" it really meant the opposite that "God is a man." This is highly irrational.
6/ God is not Jesus, this is the correct and only choice. The statement I am God and not a man always remains true
throughout the entire bible including any statement about Jesus. For those who believe Jesus is God they have to ignore
these two passages and pretend they dont exist.
Addtionally Hosea 11:1 out of Egypt I called my son is a prophecy fulfilled in Mathew 2:15 refering to Jesus who we
are told cannot be God because he is not a man
God is Always the Spirit, Never Flesh:
Malachi 3:6 For I the LORD do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed
The LORD God does not change, therefore he was not a man in Numbers, not a man in Hosea, not a man in Malachi,
and not a man 750 years later when Jesus came to earth. Unless of course the OT is wrong.
Galatians 5:17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the
flesh, for these are opposed to each other,
God is not opposed to himself. To say God is Jesus is to deny this passage or it is to say that God is opposed to
himself which is totally unbiblical and illogical and seems to directly opposes this scripture
Summary:
Job 33:4
John 4:24
1 Peter 4:6
Luke 24:39
Numbers 23:19
Hosea 11:9
Malachi 3:6
Galatians 5:17
In this part John, Peter, Luke, Moses and Paul tell us who God is and isnt.
Whatever God might be, according to scripture he isnt flesh bones and blood, he isnt man, and he isnt opposed to
Himself per these scriptures.
To make the statement God in the flesh, or something similar goes against these passages, is unbiblical and a false
teaching.
What is your interpretation of this group of scriptures, if you say Jesus is God?
Part 2 Jesus was a Spiritual Son in Heaven With God Before he Came to Earth:
As identified in my studies on the Firstborn, the Son of God, Creation made by God through Jesus, and others, Jesus
was alive in a spirit form as Gods son before he left heaven and came to the earth as a human being.
Colossians 1:15 (NIV): He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
Jesus is the firstborn son, son born first, of God before creation, as a spiritual being; Jesus was created and had a
beginning, and therefore is not God.
See Section 02B Jesus the Firstborn of God Before Creation linked here
Hebrews 1:1-2 In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various
ways,
2
but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom
he made the universe.
Jesus is a Son
Jesus was appointed
Jesus is an heir
God made the universe through his Son
None of these statements makes sense if Jesus is God.
See Section 02C Jesus the Son of God before creation linked here coming 2015
NIV 1 Corinthians 8:6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from (G1537 ek: Out of, from, by) whom all
things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through (G1223 dia: through) whom
all things came and through whom we live.
Paul says there is but one God who is the Father and one Lord, Jesus Christ
He does not say there is one God who is also Christ Jesus, he does not say there is one Jesus who is God.
All things came from God, God is the origin. All things came through Jesus, like an agent. Two different statements.
If Jesus was God, this scripture would not make sense, it only makes sense because the Father is God and
Jesus is an additional being

Summary:
Colossians 1:15
Hebrews 1:2
1 Corinthians 8:6
I have quoted one scripture from three in depth studies, all of which fully prove the idea that Jesus became and was
a/the Son of God before creation, before his birth at Bethlehem.
Part 3 God Gave his Son - God Sent his Son, in a physical body.
God did the giving and the sending, Jesus was given and was sent. They were both in heaven, one stayed and one left.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only (G3439/monogenes) son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
God gave his son, God did not give himself.
God had a son, Jesus was in existence as the Son with God before the creation. God then gave Jesus his Son to the
earth. Jesus was the Son of God before coming to the earth and becoming the Son of Man.
God did not give God.
The Greek word G3439/monogenes is in the NT nine times, four regarding only children of human beings and five
times in reference to Jesus as the only Son of God. There are NT and OT Sons of God and there are heavenly Sons of
God per Job 1:6, 2:1, and 38:7. Jesus is a "monogenes" heavenly "Son of God" different to all others.
Romans 8:3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in
the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,
Jesus was sent to the earth, he was with God before his birth at Bethlehem
He did not look like and was not a sinful man before he came in the likeness, he was something else.
God sent his son into a physical fleshly body.
God did not send his own God in the likeness of sinful flesh.
Summary:
John 3:16
Romans 8:3
John said; God gave his son. God did not give or send himself
Paul said; God stayed in heaven, God sent his son, the Son came to the earth
God had a "one and only son," this is a "monogenes" Son who belongs to God that God sent. This was a separate being,
or entity. God is not the "monogenes" Son.
The "one and only son" was sent "in the likeness of sinful flesh." As stated in the definitions "the flesh" is prone to sin
and opposed to God, therefore Jesus cannot be God, be sent by God and be opposed to God.
57
Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because
of me.
58
This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this
bread will live forever."
Vs46 "No one has seen the Father," therefore Jesus is not the Father.
Vs 46 Jesus is the one who came from the Father
Vs50 Jesus is the bread that comes down from heaven
Vs51 Jesus is the bread that came down from heaven
Vs 57 God the living Father sent me, Jesus.
I, Jesus, live because of God the Father.
God sent Jesus, Jesus was sent by God. God stayed, Jesus came.
Vs58 Jesus is the bread that came down from heaven.
Summary:
God the Father and Jesus the son were in heaven, and the father sent the son to earth.
God stayed, Jesus came.
None of the statements in John 6:45-58 can make any sense if we try to say Jesus is God.
Scripture does not say God came in the flesh or any variation or similar statement.
Ephesians 2:13 you who were once far off, have been brought near by the blood of Christ
We are brought near by the blood of Christ
Hebrews 10:19 we have confidence to enter the holy places, by the blood of Christ
We enter the holy places by the blood of Christ
1 Peter 1:2 obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood
The sprinkling with "his blood," Jesus' blood
1 John 1:7 we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his son cleanses us from all sin
Jesus' blood cleanses us from all sin
Summary:
Romans 5:9 We are justified by "his blood," the blood of Christ
Ephesians 2:13 We are brought near by the blood of Christ
Hebrews 10:19We enter holy places by the blood of Christ
1 Peter 1:2
The sprinkling with "his blood," Jesus' blood
1 John 1:7
Jesus' blood cleanses us from all sin
There is no doubt that we understand that it is the blood of Christ that offers salvation.
God is spirit
God lives in the spirit.
For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.
God is not a man
God is not a man
the LORD does not change
God is not opposed to himself.
In this part John, Peter, Luke, Moses and Paul tell us who God is and isnt.
Whatever God might be, according to scripture he isnt flesh, he isnt man, and he isnt opposed to
himself. To make the statement God in the flesh, or something similar goes against these
passages, is unbiblical and a false teaching.

Part 2 Colossians 1:15
the firstborn of all creation
Hebrews 1:2
by His son through whom He created the universe
1 Cori 8:6
the universe came out of God and through Jesus Christ. The creator and the agent

definitions "the flesh" is prone to sin and opposed to God, therefore Jesus cannot be God, be sent
by God and be opposed to God.
Part 4 God the Father and Jesus the son were in heaven, and the father sent the son to earth.
God stayed, Jesus came.
None of the statements in John 6:45-58 can make any sense if we try to say Jesus is God.
Part 5 1 John 4:2 Jesus Christ has come in the flesh
2 John 1:7 Jesus Christ came in the flesh
Jesus was already alive as a spirit with God in heaven before coming to the earth as a human.
Jesus came in the flesh, Jesus the son in the flesh, the son of God in the flesh, the son in the flesh.
These are all truthful biblical statements.
Scripture does not say God came in the flesh or any variation or similar statement.
Part 6 Hebrews 2:10-14 I will put my trust in him..since the children have flesh and blood, he to shared in
their humanity. Jesus, also being a child of God, became a humans flesh and blood body in order
to share in peoples humanity. This does not say God took on flesh or came to earth.
Part 7 While he was on the earth, in his flesh, Jesus prayed to God.
The non God prayed to the actual God.
The non God relies on the actual God to save him from death
The non God may not have been heard by the actual God
