Welcome
I am so excited to get to know your child and do
everything I can to help them succeed! The best
way to do that is for us to work together. Please
feel free to contact me whenever you have a
question or concern.
The best way to contact me is through email:

Or you can write a note in your childs agenda.
Classroom Management
Our school will be using the Positive
Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS)
program to promote a positive school
climate that fosters being respectful,
responsible, and ready to learn. This
program is designed to promote the
following behavior expectations:
Classroom Management
A color chart will be used to recognize correct and incorrect
behavior. Students will be able to move up and down the chart
throughout the day depending on their behavior. The color the
child is on at the end of the day will be marked in the agenda.
The colors are as follows:
P.A.W.S.-itively Purple
Outstanding Orange
Go, Go Green (every student begins here everyday)
Yield on Yellow
Reconsider Red
If a student falls below Green three times in one week, they will
receive a quick slip that indicates the undesirable behavior
that occurred and the interventions that took place to prevent
any future occurrences.

Parent/Teacher Communication
I will send home a weekly newsletter on Friday for the
following week so you can, Plan Ahead. Please look for these
and let me know if you have any questions.
On Wednesdays, you will receive a folder containing your
childs work from the previous week. Please remove these
papers and review them with your child so you can stay up to
date with what they are learning.
I will use the binder to send home notes about field trips,
school events, conferences, behavior, etc. Please make sure
you check the agenda daily and respond promptly. Also, make
sure your phone number is up to date so that we can contact
you easily.
