Our unit goals for First Quarter:

Reading & Writing-

*Ask and answer such ques0ons as who, what, when,

where, why and how to demonstrate understanding of key
details in a text.
*Describe how characters in a story respond to major events
and challenges.

text to demonstrate understanding of characters, seBng, or

Thank you so much for making the beginning of this year so smooth and successful. We are
off to a terrific start. Your 2nd grader is working very hard everyday and always trying their best. It was so
wonderful meeting some of you before school started, and I look forward to meeting the rest of you soon!
