History
-Hinduism has neither a specific moment of
origin nor a specific founder.
--It is said that hinduism is a fusion between
various old indian cultures.
-The oldest evidence of religious practices in
India date back approximately to 5500 BCE

What do Hindus
believe?
Hindus believe in a universal soul or God called Brahman. Brahman takes on many forms that some Hindus worship as
gods or goddesses in their own right. Hindus believe that there is a part of Brahman in everyone and this is
called the Atman.
Hindus believe in reincarnation - a belief that the soul is eternal and lives many lifetimes, in one body after
another. The soul is sometimes born in a human body, sometimes in an animal body and sometimes in a plant body

Hinduism is the religion of the

majority of people in India and Nepal.
It also exists among significant
populations outside of the sub
continent and has over 900 million
adherents worldwide.

In some ways
Hinduism is the oldest living religion in the
world, or at least elements within it stretch
back many thousands of years.

It originated around the Indus Valley

near the River Indus in modern day
Pakistan.

What is the Hindu way of life?

1- Moksha - the release of the soul (Atman) from the cycle of rebirth.
2- Dharma - the code for leading one's life.
3- Artha - the pursuit of material gain by lawful means.
4- Karma- through pure acts, knowledge and devotion, you can reincarnate to a higher level. The opposite achieves
the contrary result.

It is very important to mention

that hinduism more than a
religion is more like socioreligious way of thinking that
reflect the indian society.
