From my observations, many people bet just for the sake of betting and without a defined
purpose. But losing money by gambling isn't that enjoyable, is it? Treat your betting like a
business and you can start to turn losses into profits. That's far more fun!
Please if you like betting for fun and don't mind losing money; this book is then not for you. But
if you want to change your betting fortunes to start turning losses into betting for profit, at
worst, then read on.
The bookmaker (betting sites) is a business, they treat their betting like a business, and if we
are to have any chance of doing business to our benefit with them we have to act like we are
doing business too
You may, in the past, like I have, joined football betting, to invest some of your money; money
that you have worked hard for, to increase that investment and earn some living. Say you have
N200, 000 to start your betting.
Now, imagine this scenario. You spent only 15 minutes or less researching for matches to invest
on. How do you think you will do? Have you given it enough time, done enough research,
drawn up betting plans, targets, and contingencies? Well, truth is that you havent invested
enough time in your research to possibly cover all those things off. And you went ahead to
place your bet, without plan. The inevitability is that you will lose some, if not all of the money
you have put into the bet.
Now change the situation. You have the same N200, 000 to invest; you spend a couple of hours
researching the results, the form stats, and all the required and available information on the
games. Are you really in the best position now to invest that money? Yes, you may get lucky
and get a return at the end of the day. But even then, what are you going to do with that
profit? What was the goal for the day, the week, and the Year?
You now have your winning in your pocket, feeling quite smug and celebrating with a takeaway
and a few beers winning is real o! You might shout. That's all very well and good. Well done.
But what is the betting plan for tomorrow, next week? It may be that the plan is simply to win a
few quid and turn it into a treat but what happens if that win doesn't happen and the end result
is a N20, 000 loss? Do you concentrate your mind on the money that is gone, or concentrate on
your betting plan? Oh Hang on! There is no plan! But you can develop one though.
The topics in this handbook will lead you into football betting wealth if you can adhere to the
advices therein. It s all about betting for profit BUSINESS BETTING.

Is the better team superior in their previous meetings? Yes? History is important; some
small teams use to be a weak point to some big teams. You need to find out.
Is the better team currently on form? Yes? If they lost their last match, check whether
they use to bounce back immediately when they lost a match. Sometimes, luck departs
from a good team; they lose two, three, four matches on the go.
Is the better teams home or away form formidably good? Yes? Some teams tend to win
almost all their home matches but when the go away, they lose. Check how they
perform at home or away from home, it is important to note.
Is the seemingly weak team currently on form? No is the best answer, because if theyre
currently on form, theres every probability that they can cause havoc (luck is with them
at the moment) to the presumed better team. Sunderland beat Man City.
Lastly, how important is the match to the better team? If they dont really need the
match, run with your money. That is when you see Bayern Munich losing to inferior
teams.
If the above criterions are met, I bet youre 99% already a winner.

Are the two teams fond of playing defensive style of football? If yes, good, a draw match
might be cooking.
Are the teams scoring fewer goals in their previous matches? If yes, the match is a good
draw prospect. Such matches do always end with 0:0 or 1:1 score draw.
Is it psychological? Maybe a team on a long losing run may try harder just to get at least
a point when they meet a team of lesser strength, that is, a draw.
Is the match going to be played under a poor weather condition? The weaker teams do
always take advantage of this scenario and snatch a point.
Is it a derby match where a point is enough for both teams? Yes? Do they have a history
of drawing in their previous meetings? Yes. A draw might be cooking.
Is the home team in great form and against away team from top table position? Yes. Is
the home team used to win or draw their matches? No loss? Yes. Good match for a
draw.
NOTE THE FOLLOWINGS
If a team has been drawing frequently and a new manager is brought in, wait for
some time and watch the new managers performance.
When a team has improved on form, they can rise to the occasion and draw their
match with bigger opponent or win if the opponent is weak. Always check for a
teams current form.
Some leagues appear to have either a higher or lower percentage of draws compared to others.
This is mainly due to the characteristics of the leagues in terms of competitiveness. Always
explore such leagues for draw matches.

How many goals are the two teams scoring per game? Two and above goals on almost
all the occasions is very good for an over 2.5 goal line.
How many goals is the home team scoring at home and the away team in its away
matches? Two and above goals on almost all the occasions for over 2.5 goals.
The teams current form, are they on form? Are they currently on scoring mode? If yes,
why not? Go with them.
The count of goals scored in the games between the two teams in their previous
matches. History does repeat itself.
The count of games ended with Under 2.5 goals and Over 2.5 goals in the league. The
characteristics of the league do reflect on individual matches.
Average goals scored per game in the league. Explore leagues to see the ones with the
characteristics of over 2.5 goals e.g. Scottish lower divisions, Austria leagues, Japan
league, German league, etc and under 2.5 goals e.g. African leagues, most south
American leagues, etc.
Is the league known for over or under 2.5 goals matches? Choose your banker bets from
such leagues.

Looking at past results between each team is definitely a great place to start. You arent
looking so much at results, but more to see how many goals each team has scored
against each other. Also take into account where each previous game is played and
where the current game is being played when looking at past results. History.
Sometimes games are between teams with very little head to head form. In this case try
to look at how well they have performed (again, in terms of goals) throughout the
season so far. Ideally you want teams that are good going forward but are prone to a
leaky defensive lapse every now and then. If you can find two teams with both these
attributes then it goes without saying that they should be a good bet.
Checking team news before the game is vital. If a star striker who has over 30% of the
teams goals that season is not playing, then the likelihood of that team scoring is going
to be reduced. Try and wait until as near to kick off as possible before placing your bets
to get the team news for BOTH teams.

Study the team coaches, try to understand their tactics. Is he the kind of coach that
prefers long balls and crossing from the wings? Such teams do make a good bet for
corners.
If the team has the players that are good at head kicks, and the main aim of the halfbacks is to score a penalty or a corner kick. The team does always make a good bet for
corners, choose them.
A Team with tall forwards and quick wingers who dont go to the center often is a good
base for the corner kicks. Choose such teams. Avoid betting on teams with swift
techniques for higher corner kicks e.g. Barcelona.
Check the home team corner kick recent form and the away teams corner kick recent
form for history purpose.
Is the match important to the teams? Choose the team that values the match more.
You should also keep track on motivation, the temperature, the tournament, field
condition these aspects are important too

Find Best Odds If You Have Betting Account With Different Bookmakers
The best odds are not always available at ones favorite online bookmakers. Live betting is a
relatively new entrant into the online sports betting world, but more and more online
bookmakers are now offering live betting. Punters can, therefore, expect the competition to get
intense soon, which means that they stand the chance of finding better odds if they shop
around. It is time consuming is time consuming, but the rewards are great for sure.
Concentrate on Live Betting
This live betting tip is meant for serious bettors who really want to make some money with live
betting. Punters who watch movies while placing live bets cannot really hope to rake in profits.
The best strategy is to stay alert for odd fluctuations, research, shop for odds, and so on. All this
takes time and requires focus and attention. Professional bettors simply cannot afford to miss
any important event in the match.

Accumulator: A series of bet selections which all their outcomes must be successful for
the bettor to win.
Ante Post: Involves placing some football bets weeks, months and sometimes years in
advance. For example when you bet on the premiership or world cup winner. Such bets
are called 'ante post' bets.
Asian Handicap: Asian handicaps are, as the name suggests, a special type of handicap
betting popular in the Far East Asia and commonly used in football betting. In addition
to typical +1, 0, and -1 handicap seen in standard handicap football match betting, Asian
handicap allows for a 0.25 goal, 0.5 goals and a 0.75 goal start. On the face of it this may
not seem to make a lot of sense, since any team that beats (or loses to) a 0.5 goal start
will also beat (or lose to) a 0.25 goal start. However, there is more to 0.25 and 0.75 ball
betting than meets the eye. As for normal handicap betting, the underdog will be
awarded a head start of a handicap, and the favourite will concede a handicap of the
same magnitude. For the purposes of bet settlement, the predetermined number of the
handicap will be added to the real number of goals. Where no handicap is awarded (0:0
handicap), a drawn game will result in a tied bet and returned stakes. If either side wins,
bets backing that team will win, whilst bets backing the other will lose. Similar rules
apply for 1 goal (0:1) and 2 goal (0:2) Asian handicaps. When 0.5 ball handicaps are
applied, bets can only be won or lost - a tied bet is impossible. If the handicap is set at
0.25 (or 0.75, 1.25, 1.75 etc) of a goal, then any bets on the match will be settled as a
split stakes bet, with half the stake going on the handicap 0.25 of a goal less than the
quote and half on the handicap a 0.25 of a goal more. For example, with a 0.25 ball
handicap, half the stakes will be settled as though the handicap was 0, and half as
though the handicap was 0.5. It follows, then, that if a team beats a 0.25 ball handicap
by 0.5 or more, the backer will win the whole bet; if they lose by 0.5 or more, the backer
will lose the whole bet. It is only when the result falls within 0.5 of the handicap that the
result is different from a conventional handicap. When a team beats the handicap by a
0.25, the backer receives half stakes on a win, and half returned. For example, if N1000
were staked at odds of 1.95 for a 0.25 ball advantage, a drawn game would return a
profit of N475. This is known as a "win 0.5". If a team loses by a 0.25, the backer has
only half his stake returned. This is known as a "loss 0.5".
Banker: Means a bet selection that is fancied to be very strong not to fail. It is often the
cornerstone of combination bets.
Bet: To lay money on the correct prediction of an outcome.
final, the profit would only be N40; N50 from the place part minus the N10 stake lost on
the win.
Exposure: The maximum amount of money a bookmaker stands to lose in a game.
Favorite: The team or individual the bookies rate most likely to win the contest they are
betting on.
First Goalscorer: A bet placed on a player to score the first goal in a football match.
First half bet: A bet placed on the first half of a match. The outcome of the second half
does not affect the bet.
Fold: A fold represents the number of selections in an accumulator, i.e a Four-Fold
Accumulator consists of 1 bet involving 4 selections in different events. All must be
successful to get a return.
Form: This involves how a team is currently performing.
Goliath: A Goliath is a type of bet that consists of 247 bets involving 8 selections in
different events. The bet includes 28 doubles, 56 trebles, 70 fourfolds, 56 fivefolds, 28
sixfolds, 8 sevenfolds and an accumulator. A minimum of 2 of your selections must be
successful to get a return.
Half time bet: A bet placed on the half time result.
Half time result: A bet that involves the Punter correctly predicting the result of a match
at half time.
Handicap: A system used by bookmakers to make an event whose result appears to be
one sided become attractive again for betting on. For example, the weaker team may
start with a one goal advantage. Known as the Spread in US sports. For fractional
handicaps (0.5, 1.5 etc.), there is no possibility of a draw. If the margin of victory is same
as the quoted handicap, all bets on the selected team will lose.
Heinz: A Heinz is a form of bet that consists of 57 bets involving 6 selections in different
events. The bet includes 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 fourfolds, 6 fivefolds and an
accumulator. A minimum of 2 of your selections must be successful to get a return.
IBAS: Independent Arbitration Betting Service. An arbitration service which was
launched to deal with betting disputes between punters and bookmakers.
Lay: To place a bet.
Line: The current odds on a particular event or match.
Long-shot: A team perceived unlikely to win.
Lucky 15: A Lucky 15 is a form of bet that consists of 15 bets involving 4 selections in
different events. The bet includes 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles, and 1 fourfold. If only
one selection wins, as a consolation returns are paid to double the odds. If all four
selections win, a bonus of 10% is added to total returns. For the bonus to apply, all
selections must win (none void). For each-way bets the consolation is paid only on the
win part of the bet. Lucky 15 bets are accepted on horse racing and greyhounds only.
Also Lucky 31 and Lucky 63 exist
Monkey: Bookmakers slang for 500.
Multiples: Another term for Accumulators. Multiple bets involve more than one
selection.
Nap: A punter's best bet of the day.
No action: A bet where no money is lost or won. Normally seen in draw no bet
Odds: Also referred to as the price. It simply means the returns a bookmaker offers for a
selection to win.
Outsider: The opposite of a favourite. The under-dog.
Over: A form of bet where a punter predicts the total number of goals in a football
match to be above a particular number. A commonly available over/under bet available
in football is over/under 2.5 goals. Some bookmakers like to introduce an extra outcome
to the book. 3 outcomes might include: fewer than 2 goals; exactly 2 goals; and more
than 2 goals.
Parlay: The US term for an accumulator.
Patent: A Patent is a form of bet that consists of 7 bets involving 3 selections in different
events. The bet includes a single on each selection, plus 3 doubles and 1 treble. Just one
successful selection guarantees a return.
Permutations or Perms: There is a way to find 7 bets from only 3 selections. Consider
the following 3 selections: Chelsea to beat Norwich at 1.35, Liverpool to beat
Manchester city at 2.30, Southampton to beat Tottenham 3.05, each selection can be
taken as a single match bet. Secondly, there is one treble available at odds of 9.47,
calculated by multiplying together the odds for each of the 3 singles. However, there are
also 3 doubles available too, by "perming" any 2 games from the 3 selections. Such a
series of bets is commonly known as a 'Patent', or a 'Trixie' if the singles are left out
leaving only 4 bets. The greater the number of selections to choose from, the greater
the number of combinations available. Combinations are not, of course, restricted to
doubles. If we wish to choose from 4 matches, there are 6 combinations of doubles and
4 combinations of trebles available, in addition to 1 fourfold and 4 singles.
Pony: Bookmakers slang for 25.
Price: Betting or gambling odds.
Punter: The individual who puts on a bet.
Runner: Somebody who places bets for another person.
Sharp: A person known to be a professional gambler.
Singles: This is the simplest of all bets. It is used to back only one outcome in a football
match. With a simple win/lose single, a selection must be successful to achieve a return.
A typical single match bet might be Liverpool to beat Manchester United at 2.00. If
Liverpool wins, a N1000 stake would realize a profit of N2000; if they draw or lose, the
stake is lost.
Super Heinz: A Super Heinz consists of 120 bets involving 7 selections in different
events. The bet includes 21 doubles, 35 trebles, 35 fourfolds, 21 fivefolds, 7 sixfolds and
an accumulator. A minimum of 2 of your selections must be successful to get a return.
Trebles: A Treble consists of 1 bet involving 3 selections in different events. All must be
successful for the bet to win.
Trixie: A Trixie consists of 4 bets involving 3 selections in different events. The bet
includes 3 doubles and 1 treble. A minimum of 2 of your selections must be successful
to win.
Under: An increasingly popular football fixed odds market where the punter bets on the
total number of times an event (goals, corners, cards etc) will occur t be less than a
particular number; under 2.5 goals, cards etc.
Underdog: A team or individual that is expected to lose. Also known as the dog.
Value Bet: Involves a bet where the odds provided by bookmakers are better than the
mathematical chance which the team involved has of producing the outcome. This
means, that if a team has an actual mathematical 50% chance of winning a match, and
the odds on that team are above Evens, then bet value is better than the mathematical
odds, so that is a value bet. Liverpool @2.05 odds to win Wigan at home is a value bet.
Wise guy: Is any well informed or knowledgeable handicapper or punter.
Yankee: A Yankee is a type of bet that combines 11 bets involving 4 selections in
different events. The bet includes 6 doubles, 4 trebles, and an accumulator. A minimum
of 2 of your selections must be successful to get a return.

Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different
results.
Henry Ford said If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've
always got.
Have a look at your betting history, have a look at the mistakes you have made. They will be
glaringly obvious to you if you take some minutes and examine your betting history. The most
common things to look for are:
Chasing losses. Always trying to win back your lost money by all means.
Going for the big one too often.
Always accumulating too many matches
Spending hours picking out your best selections and betting lets say N2000 on them,
and then when they lose, you go on a tilt and bet N5000 on a team you know nothing
about just because you want to recover your lost money by all means. Then you lose
again.
And many more
All of these things are all too common, and if you want to be serious about actually making a
profit from gambling YOU need to find them, and YOU need to stop them. Make a conscious
decision to do it and it will be one of the best betting decisions you make.
One more thing; I will also advise you to do a thorough research to discover a betting market
(e.g. home wins, away wins, BTTS, under/over e.t.c) which youll not only be good at, you will
have to be a professional at the particular market. That was what I did, and Im enjoying it
today. It requires a great deal of patient and discipline though, but the good news is that I made
it having only one head loaded with amazing ideas just like you. You too can do even better.
Study all the available betting markets, test the ones you like most, you will surely discover a
market that youre good at.
However, if you wish to learn exactly how I make atleast N200,000 per month using my
