2. Pick one of the following to share the information you learned in the
reading. The main idea and most important details need to be included in
your report. Get creative!
a. Poster or Slides presentation: Create a poster or slides
presentation with text and pictures that explains the reading.
b. Newspaper article/News letter: Write about the reading as if you
were a news reporter. You may choose to do one article, or make a
whole newsletter with multiple sections. Include pictures.
c. Poem or song/rap: Write a poem or song that includes all of the
important information. It can rhyme, but it doesnt have to. It can be
to the tune of a current song, but it doesnt have to.
d. Essay: Write 3-5 paragraphs summarizing the reading. Have an
opening paragraph and closing paragraph.
e. Short Story: Write a short story about the reading. You may
illustrate the story.

f. Script: Write the script to a movie, play or TV show that would


teach about your reading (we will not have time to act it out.)
g. Visual art piece: Create some form of art that teaches about the
reading without using words.
h. Lesson Plan: Come up with a lesson plan to teach a class of fifth
graders about the reading. The plan should include a Do Now, an
activity, and an Exit Ticket.
