ARABIC COURSE OUTLINE


GRADE 4-5


Course description
In this course, students will apply four language skills
listening, speaking, writing, and reading in order to
communicate at a basic level by exchanging, interpreting,
and presenting information in Arabic. The main emphasis
of this course is oral communication and the ability to use
simple conversational skills. In addition, basic vocabulary
and grammar, as well as simple writing structures will be
introduced. Students will be actively engaged in hands on
activities related to themes discussed throughout the
school year.

General Learning
outcomes

Recognize and identify all letters with the vowels


Differentiate between similar letters in shape and sounds
Read and write all letters in all shapes
Differentiate between the moon and sun letters
Read and write simple words and give the correct meaning
Read simple sentences fluently
Use new words in simple sentences
Write simple sentences with minimal mistakes

Method of Assessment and Evaluation:


1. Listening, writing, speaking and reading all take equal share in
assessing and evaluating students.
2. Students are assessed in the beginning of the school year and
at the end each unit or a completed lesson to guide and give
feedback on how to improve.
3. Presentations, projects, peer evaluation, class participation,
daily class activities, quizzes, tests and writing assignments
engage students and determine how much and how well they
are learning.
4. With this method of assessment and evaluation , we believe
that no effort will be wasted or neglected.
5. we will be guiding students and making sure that they will not
fall behind in the class if they miss any class work.

Teachers expectations
Students are expected to come well prepared everyday!
All Arabic books and stationary equipment should be with
them every Arabic class!
All homework should be completed on a daily basis!
Call the school office or send a note with your child if you
need appointment or further information!
