The purpose of this assignment is to examine all aspects of operational management and
provide an understanding of how different airlines operate based on their different
operational strategies.
In this assignment, you are required to distinguish the operations strategy of Malaysian Airlines
(MAS) and Air Asia. In your comparison, firstly, identify the corporate and operational
objective of both these airlines.
Then, you are to critically evaluate the operational management capabilities of the two
airlines to achieve competitive advantage based on their respective operational strategy
with reference to the following areas:
