Logo and T-Shirt Proposal

What is Academy?
Academy High School is a science, technology,
engineering, and mathematics (STEM) school that
encourages students to excel to their fullest potential. We

represent six pillars which are perseverance, integrity,

respect, responsibility, courage, and curiosity. We are the
only school that offers Engineering and Biomedical
sciences to give students the opportunity to explore STEM
careers. Teachers offer great support systems for
students, setting precious time aside for each and every
one to succeed.
Teachers at Academy High School are long lasting
mentors. I hear stories of students who graduated five to
eight years ago and they come back to the school to
coach, teach, or participate in district activities. It is truly a
blessing to attend Academy High School.

Why this logo?

We chose our logo because it incorporates the six
pillars we have represented by each proton and the atom
resembles our schools love for of science. If we were
given more color combinations we would have chosen
purple and black or purple and grey. Our logo was able to
incorporate the school name and our schools district.

Research
Plain and simple, a logo cannot be dull and boring. A
logo needs to be concise and to the point. Theres no need
to drag on in boring details. A school logo needs to have
the schools name, modern language (not Latin), not be
cluttered, easy to reproduce electronically, and needs to
have limited or preferably one variation. A professional
image is also important when designing a logo. Schools
want to prove theyre building future leaders of America
and a professional image helps build up that reputation.
Color is also important for a logo because it makes it
unique. Sadly, we were offered limited color combinations
so we chose grey and a blue-green.
