Part 1: Differentiated Instruction Definition

The lesson that the video showed used many different learning style and they were used
very well according to the class setting. The teacher used different unique teaching to get the
students engaged into the lesson. One of the techniques that the teacher used was Three-peat
repeating, in which she repeated herself three times giving her an acknowledgment that the
students are engaged in the lesson and are aware of what the instruction that are being given are
understood by each student. In the lesson and instructions the teacher on each individual
participation in how they are participating as an individual and not as a group. I would not
change the way this method is used, it is being taught as an engaging and motivational teaching
method. Students can have fun while they are learning. The students are using critical thinking,
comprehension, spelling, and listing. The use of a whiteboard or iPad are tools that can be used
to download the stories that are used or any other lesson that is given in class to help enhance
their learning. In the video the teacher shows motivation and creativity giving each student a
chance to explore the use of their brain by participating in the lesson. This is a learning method
that is used in a positive way it differentiates and challenges the students individualities. Dr.
Carol Tomlinson describes different options in the teachers in service that she gives in the video
she shows and explains what differentiated instruction means such as Stop looking at the class
as a group but looking with individuals-they come with different aspects that can affect the
teaching (Dr. Carol, 2011).

Part 2: Differentiated Instruction Lesson Evaluation

The lesson that the video showed used many different learning style and they were used
very well according to the class setting. The teacher used different unique teaching to get the
students engaged into the lesson. One of the techniques that the teacher used was Three-peat
repeating, in which she repeated herself three times giving her an acknowledgment that the
students are engaged in the lesson and are aware of what the instruction that are being given are
understood by each student( Chris, 2014). In the lesson and instructions the teacher on each
individual participation in how they are participating as an individual and not as a group. I would
not change the way this method is used, it is being taught as an engaging and motivational
teaching method. Students can have fun while they are learning. The students are using critical
thinking, comprehension, spelling, and listing. The use of a whiteboard or iPad are tools that can
be used to download the stories that are used or any other lesson that is given in class to help
enhance their learning. In the video the teacher shows motivation and creativity giving each
student a chance to explore the use of their brain by participating in the lesson. This is a learning
method that is used in a positive way it differentiates and challenge the students individualities.

Part 3: Differentiated Instruction through Technology

With so many new technology available for a class it can sometimes feel overwhelming
at times finding the right tool according to the lesson is a responsibility that goes with being a
good teacher. The tool that is going to be used has to fit well with the lesson that has been
developed to meet the needs of every student in the classroom. It is important to differentiate the
classroom of each students learning ability and their learning methods that they can be taught as
individuals. Each student as the ability to learn depending on their own enchantment and
motivation given by the instructor or tutor. Learning is an incredible complex process involving

so many deferent factors for every individuals, it can feel overwhelming and sometimes the
responsibilities to meet each students learning can be complex. The goal is to teach every child to
get them to beat distraction by whatever roots they need to get them there. One of the pros of
teaching is using differentiating methods in a classroom setting. Students getting to experience
the diversity of learning that the teacher provides them by using different methods of teaching
and using many different tools of technology that can meet their needs.
One of the differential tool method of teaching is using the Whole Brain Teaching it is a
method in which every student is in focus and egger to learn. This method engages motivation,
structure and gaudiness it helps students participate by following the teachers instruction. The
teacher is able to keep control of class by their participation and those who are not following
directions as well. In this method of teaching the teacher uses the Three-Peat repeating this is a
good way to start the class and get all students to participate. Teacher gives them positive
incentives by giving them points that they can use for extra time outside. For those who do not
follow points are taken away. This gives students responsibilities and structure in how they use
their learning abilities. The cons of teaching this method is getting the children with learning
disabilities engaged and focus in the lesson Students with learning disabilities may be less
engaged in the learning task, unable to cope with multiple instruction and probably organized in
their thinking and work habits (Chris, 2013). The teacher must know the learners needs of a
student understanding the learning style of each student and also showing concern for each
individual student. By modifying and concentrating and differentiating the learning in content,
process, and product.
Differentiating with social media can also be an effective method in planning learning
experience based on the content, process and product it becomes the lesson structure for the
students. For the student voice incorporating readiness, interests and learning profiles. This can

help any classroom ensure that the tools used will address students needs to be clear about what
academic learning well be the outcome. Assessing what the student know and also what they do
not know. Making it clear in identifying the related background connections, the use of social
networks can address the students needs for the student that struggle in learning. It can also
ensure that the advanced learners are growing. The cons of using social media tools can overlap,
some can be more effective than others depending on how they are customized for students
voice. Readiness focuses on the student current academic skills level. Interest allows students to
tackle their work based on the option that makes the most sense to their crucial cognitive
connections. The learning Profiles address concepts from diverse perspectives, especially in a
collaborative groups, leading to an in-depth understanding (McCarthy, 2015).
Differentiation Instruction embraces many of the process, strategies and also many
approaches supporting by the best practices available as well as research, while not being
confined on a single content area or specific grade level. The differentiated approach in a
classroom instruction can be applied to any content area at any grade level. Special education
work hard to make sure that students with needs are developing and growing during the school
year. Although, special education teachers do encounter different challenges their general
teachers they do need to have access to different tools that meet the special needs of the students
individualities disabilities. Fidgets, Wiggle Sets, Therapy balls, Therapy bands can be tools that
can assist the teacher help the students in the special education classroom. This are tools that can
balance their sensory system and prepare for academic work. Another tool that can be used for
students that struggle with reading is the High Lighter strips it is a strategy to keep them focused
on one line at a time. The use of shaving cream, sand, rice is a way to practice word work.
Finding hidden words in a bowl of rice that we have to decode, it is a find motor skills and
learning academic skills all in one.

Teaching can be rewarding when a teacher uses the right tools and they are being
correctly to meet the needs of the students. They can be used to teach any type of lesson plan in a
classroom. When teachers use methods such as differentiating it allows the classroom to become
an individual classroom and not so much of a group. Many technical tools are also available to
make a classroom accessible for a diversity instruction classroom and not so much as a
classroom where only one type of learners are focused on. Teachers need to focus on developing
lessons in which students are being meet to their needs and disabilities. Keeping in mind on the
students individuality and capability of learning in their own pace can help score increase and
can keep students motivated at the same time, always making sure that all the guidelines are
being meet as well.
