In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October,

here are a few helpful resources to help families fight breast
cancer.

American Cancer Society: The American Cancer Society is a nationwide,

community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer
as a major health problem.

National Cancer Institute (NCI) : The NCI is the federal government's principal
agency for cancer research and training.

National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC): The NBCC is an organization

dedicated to ending breast cancer through the power of action and advocacy.

National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN): The NCNN is a not-for-profit

alliance of 26 of the world's leading cancer centers devoted to patient care,
research, and education, is dedicated to improving the quality, effectiveness, and
efficiency of cancer care so that patients can live better lives.

National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF): The organization saves women's

lives through education about breast cancer and early detection.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure : A Non-Profit organization that addresses breast
cancer on multiple fronts such as research, community health, global outreach
and public policy initiatives in order to make the biggest impact against this
disease.

services and information to help people manage the emotional, practical and
financial challenges of cancer.

Breastcancer.org : A nonprofit organization dedicated to providing the most
