It's August 03, 2015, third week of our observing and as it's getting longer and

longer, our knowledge are getting more about teaching and important concept used by
teachers in an organize classroom and school environment.
I came to BNHS at 6:02 in the morning. It's early for a 7:30 class but being early
on the school you observe is one of our responsibilities. I cleaned the garden in front
of the office of the principal and as I did that, I greeted those teachers I noticed
coming to the school. Monday was a busy day for the students and also for teachers
because it's the start of the week. There are too many to clean because of the two days
rest or weekend.
We start observing at the class of Mrs. Elisa De Guzman. Before she started her
lesson, she asked a student to lead the prayer then after that she asked who were the
absentee/s for that day and the reason why they are absent. Then she had a recall on
the last topic she discussed and it's a pleasure for a teacher to know that student still
remembered what she taught because it's a sign that he/ she is a good educator/
facilitator. Then she started her lesson and on the book the text was a dialogue. She
pointed out students who will read the dialogue to emphasize more the characters.
After reading, she asked if the students understood what their classmate said by
providing questions posted on the board. When they answered it Ma`am De Guzman
discussed as well the concept provided by the question to summarize the text read by
her students.
Next we observed was the class Mrs. Lorielyn Reyes. As Ma`am Lorie teaching
in front we also listen to her while stapling photocopies that students will used in their
studies, their module. She asked for our help to staple it because she wanted to
distribute it early for her students have an advance reading on their next topics.
After we take our break, we continue to observe and at this time we scrutinized
the class of Mrs. Donna Guerra because it just only two days before the first
periodical exam of students she had a review test for the class. She wanted to measure
if the students can answered the related questions of the examination and if the
students really understand what she taught. The review test lasted for the whole
period, and she will checked it and see the result where the students getting
difficulties, then on the next meeting she will clarify it to the students for them to
understand it.
It was said on our field study 2 that we should also observed other teacher with
different subject handled and we did it. We observed the class of Mr. Rommel
Rosales, a science teacher and happy to say that when we observed on his class he
was using technology in teaching. He uses a projector. His topic was all about animal
extinction. And to emphasize more his lesson he presented a video of animals that are
going to extinct because of the careless of the people and devastating of their habitats.

Because of the video presented, students can relate more because they can saw
pictures of animals and the effects of the wrong doings of the people. After she
presented the video, he asked for a group presentation what they understand on the
video presented through a poem, short composition of a song and a skit. Group 1@2
goes for a poem, group 3@4 for a song and group 5 for a skit. He presented criteria
that will rate student`s performance. And it`s nice to saw that students really
understand what they've watched because of a great presentation they presented.
The last two teachers we observed have the same strategy and it was a class
discussion, Mr. Conrado Esguerra and Ms. Julie Fe Comia. Although it just a class
discussion, it's also a good strategy because it's an exchange of ideas between students
and their teacher.
On the next day of our observation August 05, 2015, teachers are getting busy
because of the test paper taht will used on the examination on the next day. And as a
help for them on the first class we attended, the class of Ms. Julie Fe Comia, we staple
the test paper she will uses on the examination of her students. As we did that she`s
having a review test on her class for the preparation for the first periodical test. When
the time reached on 8:30 in the morning, it means that first class ended as well with
what we did. After that we did not expect that there will be a mass. Ms. Julie Fe told
us that every first Wednesday of the month there will be a mass. And luckily we can
attend to it. It's nice to think that our church had that activity because it could develop
the spiritual aspect of an individual. The priest prayed for the success of the students
on the examination. The mass lasted for one hour. Then after the mass was the recess
of the students like us we also took our break. We only had an hour left before we end
our observation for this week. The last class we attended was the class of Mrs. Elisa
De Guzman on Grade 8- Rose. She posted in the board a picture and askednher
students what they can infer on the illustration. Couple of students said that it was a
picture of a family. Then Mrs. De Guzman told them to write a small story about the
picture she posted on the board. After 15 minutes, she asked three students to read
what they did and some of them did it with creativity because of the good
composition they presented. Then Mrs. De Guzman told that their topic us all about
short story. She defined what it is and students already had an idea on how to create a
short story because of the activity she had on start of the class.

The week ended again and we experienced difference for this week. I hoped that I
will remembered all those information because it definitely a helped for me when I
entered the field we observing now.
