Maluhia Family Center

Mission: To create and develop a safe environment for the sole purpose of providing opportunities
for families to engage in order to heal, re-unite, and to improve the success of the childs transition
back into the community.
Concept: Renovate the current Maluhia cells into a homely environment where families can gather
and communicate with one another. Transform the 3 cells into a Family Room, Dining Room &
Counseling Room.

Design Plan
Family Room: This room will be utilized as an area for the child and their family to gather and
socialize with one another in a comfortable setting. There will also be a kids toy area at the back of
the room for any young toddlers or children to play in while the rest of the family engages. This room
will also serve as an entertainment room for the children as there will be a TV and video game system
available for their use.
