NARRATIVE REPORT
On the fourth week of our field study, we have observed again at Alupay
National High School. On the first day, August 11, 2015, I arrived at the school at 6:23
am. Since the class of my cooperating teacher will start on 8:30 am, I just read about
the module that he will going to discuss for the second grading period.
When my cooperating teacher, Mr. Capanay arrived, he orients me about the
topic for the second grading period for all his Grade 7 class and it is about Mechanical
Drafting. Im familiar with this because we study it last semester. Also he teaches me
how to compute the mean, mean percentage score and standard deviation to know if
the students learn and if they pass the exam. I find it difficult since Im not really familiar
with it and Im not good at Mathematics. For his Grade 7 class, he will going to get the
item analysis of the periodical test of the students. Then he will discuss about the
mechanical drafting. The first class started at 8:30 am at Grade 7- Sampaguita. The
class starts with a simple prayer and greetings. Mr. Capanay distributes the answer
sheets and the students will going to raise their hand for each item that is correct. After
getting the item analysis, he orients the students for their topic for the second grading.
He asks the secretary of the class to copy what they will discuss for that day. It is
about the tools and materials used in drafting. Then he discusses each tool and
material. My cooperating teacher asked me to give the exercise for the students
because he will going to leave for a meeting together with the principal. The exercise is
a cross word puzzle where the students will search the tools and materials for drafting.
After they finish the exercise, I collect it and leave because the next subject is waiting.

On the afternoon, 1:00 pm, the class is at Grade 7- Rose. Since Mr. Capanay is
not going to meet the students for his next class, he assigned me to get the item
analysis of the periodical test of the Grade 7- Rose. I asked the secretary of the class to
copy the lesson and after that I give the same exercise to Grade 7 Rose. . I explain
what they are going to do. I give them time to finish their exercise. After they finished
the exercise, I collect the papers and asked them to clean their room before I leave.
Since my cooperating teacher is not there because of the meeting, my Daily Time
Record is not signed so I decided to pass it tomorrow then we leave the school at 3:10
pm. Im happy because the students understand what are being taught to them that day.
On our second day, August 12, 2015, I observed at Grade 8- Mahogany. Mr.
Capanay discussed about the topic for the second grading, it is about
dressmaking/tailoring. But before that, he gets the item analysis of the periodical test of
the students. Then after that he asked the secretary of the class to copy the lesson,
about the tools and materials used in tailoring. Since it is too many, it consumed a lot of
time to finish it, so it will be discussed for the next meeting. Then Mr. Capanay asked
me to attend to his next class because he will have a practice with the players of chess
and he is the coach. I go to Grade 7-Camia and distribute their papers to get the item
analysis of their exam then I asked the secretary to copy the lesson. I have only a
limited time because I have an exam that day so I early dismissed the class. Before I
leave the school, I come to Mr. Capanay and he signed my Daily Time Record then we
leave the school at 11:30 am.
