IntheDiagnosticsAgentspagewehaveseenDiagnosticAgentinstallationrelatedInformationandallkeySAPNoteshavingallrequireddetail.TosummarizethatinfoIwouldliketointroducesomesteps
onhowtoinstallthelatestDiagnosticAgent(includesSAPHostAgent).ThisDiagnosticAgentiscompitablewithanySPlevelofSAPSolutionmanager7.1.Also,youdon'thavetodoaseparateSAPHost
Agentinstallation,ifyouhavefollowedthesesteps.YoucanalsoactivatetheAgentsOntheflyfeaturewiththisDiagnosticAgent.

Note:Whencarryingoutthebelowsteps,makesureyouhavereadandunderstoodtheDiagnosticsAgentInstallationStrategyPDFfileattachedwithSAPNotes:1365123
andsapnote1833501fordiagnosticagentinstallerversionthatarementionedintheGeneralInformationsectionhere:DiagnosticsAgents.Theyexplainthe
strategy,downloadprocedure,andinstallationdetails.
Note:ThesestepshavebeenperformedonMSWindowsserver2003EnterpriseEdditionX64bitencoding,soinyourcasethefilenamecouldbedifferent.

DownloadandextractInstallermediafile.
TostarttheinstallationyouneedtofirstdownloadtheSoftwareProvisioningManager1.0andtheirreleventkernelfile.Oncethecorrectfilesaredownloadedhaveyouneedtounpackthose.
