Comments:

It has been my pleasure to intern at HLS, because I was able to grow as a professional social worker
through the field experience. I managed to take learning opportunities and make the most of them.
During the first semester, I enjoyed student was able to observe/shadow and then co-facilitate with field
instructor, attended meeting, but facilitating the adolescent groups in the One of a Kind program has
been the far most intriguing experience throughout the field placement. The experience helped me
develop a facilitating style that was non-judgmental towards the clients. I remember being nervous and
being unsure about developing treatment plans, but with the integration of my classes and my field
supervisors assistance I'm able to articulate Goals, Objectives and learning tasks more effectively. This
experience has given me competencies and confidence of being one step closer to being a professional
social worker. I would like to thank the Higher Learning Services Organization/Agency, and a special
thanks to Sherita Harvey. She has been amazing at guiding me and be while doing so. I appreciate all of
her assistance.
