Online Staff Development Workshop
Syllabus
Topic:
Google Classroom- a web-based service that provides an easy
way for teachers to create, share, and collect Google Documents,
Presentations and Spreadsheets.
Intended Audience: 9th - 12th grade teachers
Lesson: How to effectively use Google Classroom.
Purpose: To introduce teachers to Google Classroom for the purpose of
enhancing student learning.
Essential Questions:
Why should I use Google Classroom?
What features of Google Classroom will work best for you and your students?
Procedure:
Introduction to Google Classroom and how it will benefit teachers and
students.
Step by step PowerPoint of how to join, navigate and participate in Google
Classroom as a student and teacher.
Allow teachers to explore and practice using Google Classroom.
Conclude with a participant questionnaire.
Estimated length of the workshop is 1 hour.
