the US.
There isnt enough funding available

higher education truly equally

are considered the best in the world.

academic preparedness is not given
enough consideration.

American higher education system is


unable to meet the growing demand
for innovation in science and

Institutions often view students as
numbers and student centric
environments have turned into
revenue centric ones.
Changing dynamics of the American
population could shift greater focus
on the elderly and their needs then
education and innovation.

Higher education in the US has


successfully established a network of
research programs as well
community colleges.

Even with the growing population of


young individuals from diverse
populations higher education has not
been able to provide resources
required to mobilize and provide
access to diverse populations.

Higher education is no longer


considered a public good. Its more of
a private good provided to only those
that can afford it.

Higher education institutions


struggle with how to keep tuition
costs low while trying to increase
enrollments.

Higher education is still considered a


gateway to change and economic
progress.

State and Federal governments dont


prioritize higher education as an
important public agenda.

American society today deals with a


sense of declining job security and
job availability. They may not see the
point in getting a higher ed degree.

Higher education is unable to keep up


with the changing world and growing
economic demands.

Public opinion of higher education is


generally high.
Openness to immigration in the US
allows for diversity in education and
the workforce.

The competitive nature of higher


education institutions in the US
motivates many institutions to
provide the best resources and
faculty and to excel.

We dont see enough individuals


attempting to and completing their
higher education degrees.
