As her Pastor for the last fourteen years, | didn’t even bat an eye. I have never met a young lady with as much drive, ambition and faithfulness as Serena. Her family has been closely knit with our church and has sought the counsel of my wife and myself for years. Through those years, | have seen Serena grow as a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a young woman who does nothing but bless her community. There is always a smile on her face and an attitude that can move mountains. No matter what life has thrown at Serena, she has only been changed for the better. She has served in our youth ministry ever since she was in junior high and has been a vital part to cur team, From helping with young girls who needed counsel, to serving faithfully at every event for our community, she has never shied away from serving. My wife and | always say, if we had a handful of students with the same integrity and faithfulness as Serena Eastman, this community would be even greater than it is now.
