The document discusses HIV/AIDS, how it is transmitted through specific body fluids, and ways to prevent transmission. It notes that while medications can control HIV, there is currently no cure. It recommends getting tested, practicing safer sex through condom use and limiting partners, not sharing needles, and continuing treatment once started to prevent the virus from multiplying out of control. A survey was also conducted on campus to quantitatively research transmission prevention methods.

INTERVENTION METHOD ON PREVENTING FURTHER SPREAD OF HIV
What is HIV and what is AIDS?
HIV (Human immunodeficiency virus)
HIV is a virus that weakens your immune system by destroying important cells that fight diseases and infection
AIDS(Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome)
AIDS is the final stage of HIV
Living With HIV Infection
There are medicines that decrease adverse
symptoms, but there is NO medicine that cures the disease
Giving HIV to another person is putting that
persons life at risk of DEATH
There is NO MEDICAL cure for AIDS
HOW HIV IS TRANSMITTED
HIV is spread through four body fluids:
semen
vaginal fluid
blood
breast milk
HIV is NOT transmitted by
KISSING
EATING from the same plate, spoon or
fork
HUGGING a person does NOT transmit
HIV
daily living with someone who has
HIV
How can I reduce my risk of
getting HIV?
Get tested and know your partners HIV status.
Have less risky sex.
Use condoms
Limit your number of sexual partners.
Dont inject drugs.
How is HIV treated?
There are many treatments now that can help people with HIV. As a result, many people with HIV are living much longer and healthier than before. Currently, medicines can slow the growth of the virus or stop it from making copies of itself. Although these drugs don't eliminate the virus from the body, they keep the amount of virus in the blood low.
Do you have to be treated for the
rest of your life? Right now, there is no cure for HIV infection or AIDS. So, once you start treatment, you have to continue to be sure the virus doesn't multiply out of control.
Methodology
I used quantitative method for my research, I did 10 questions
and gave it to 30 peoples in the campus. Thanks to everybody that cooperated to my survey. I didnt have any difficulties to do my survey among them.
