Book Pass #1 Culminating Task

Part A: Connection (completed independently in class)

Make a complex connection to your book. Be sure to use examples from the text and from your own
ideas to support your answer.
Part B: Summary (presented LIVE in class)
Your group will create a series of four 30-second dramatizations showing the rising action and climax
of your book. Dont give away the end. You will have to introduce the characters, the setting, and the
conflict before beginning. Be sure to dress and act the part.
Part C: Vocabulary (presented LIVE in class)
Each group member is responsible for teaching 3 new vocabulary words. You decide how to engage
your audience. Be sure to explain what the word means and how it can be used.
Part D: Sell Your Book (presented LIVE in class)
Your group will have to choose one of the following options to convince others to read your book:
change the lyrics to a well-known song
make a commercial
billboard ad with oral presentation
another oral-based presentation of your choosing
