This past week wasn't ideal for panther athletes. On
Tuesday, October 13 the lady Panthers suffered a loss to the Friday- Senior night football vs
Absarokee Huskies. The Panthers lost their first two matches Absarokee
but succeeded in winning the 3rd match. however the
Sat urday- Nothing
Huskies pulled off their victory winning the fourth match.
This past Saturday the Panther football team traveled
to Gardiner for a one o?clock game. The Panthers were
defeated 50 -20. The Saturday afternoon game didn?t seem
to interfere with the elk that came down from Yellowstone
Park to enjoy the match up. The Panthers play the final game
of their 2015 season on Friday night against the Absarokee
Huskies. Come out and support the team for the senior night
game.

Red Ribbon Dress Up Days

At the Montana Association of Student Council
(MASC) state wide meeting in Great Falls, all in attendance
were challenged to electrify their leadership in the Electric
City. During the conference we heard from empowering
speakers, went to engaging workshops and got to meet
student council members from all around our great state.
Scott Backovich talked to us about being a catalyst in our
schools. Harriet Turk talked to us about the different masks
we wear in our everyday lives. Finally, Judson Laipply talked
to us about how we all are passengers on the struggle bus,
but even if we have off days, that doesn?t amount to a bad
life.

Monday: Say no to drugs by

Tuesday: Be a Tacky Tourist and

Wednesday: Montanans give

Thursday: Team up with your
Twin to stay drug free
Friday: "Say boo to drugs"

Let your past make you better, not bitter.

?The trick is to enjoy life. Don?t wish away your days, waiting for better ones ahead.?
Why compare yourself with others? No one in the entire world can do a better job of being
you than you.

Are you lost in the world? Do you need some advice from a friend but you hate your friends? Submit your life questions to the box
near MC's room (107) and Beefaroni will help you. No bull.

Animal of t he Week
Aura Wetzel
Symbolic meanings for the owl are:
-

Intuition, ability to see what others do not see

The presence of the owl announces change
Capacity to see beyond deceit and masks
Wisdom

The owl is emblematic of a deep connection with wisdom and intuitive knowledge. If the owl is
your spirit animal, then you?re most likely to see more hidden things . Native Americans say the owl
will symbolize wisdom if you are to spot one, and they are usually night creatures.

Welcome to the Slaughterhouse, what can this horror-loving writer say other than, ?It was great?. It
takes place out in the country, making the scenery match its name. When you enter the building it is
hosted in, a chill runs down your spine; maybe for added effect however, it still adds to the
ominous vibe. It has great jump scares and many rooms with great detail, also there is many
animatronics that are beyond anything you will see in a small operation like this. One of the best
parts though is the ending, which could be easily considered a claustrophobic person?s nightmare. I
do, in fact recommend this haunted house to those who love all things creepy and scary, for that is
what it is.

What I'm Reading!

Preston Medicine Horse
The book I?m reading is called The Call of the Wild, by Jack London. It is about Buck, a courageous
dog in the wilderness of Alaska. He has terrible enemies - both man and beast, and also a huge
rivalry with Spitz, another dog. The weather, terrain, and heartless owners prove to be Buck?s
biggest battles. In the end, however, Buck becomes a dominant beast whose will-power is
unmatched. Jack London had a great inspiration to write this book because he actually lived in
Alaska. He also wrote a lot of other adventure stories, so check him out, and check out The Call of
the Wild!
